Welcome to the second edition of ‘Back in the days’. In this weekly article we will bring old features and events back to life. This week we will travel back in time, going to the days in which Bootleggers became completely insane, better known as: Chaos Mode, the event that closes a current round and opens a new one.
It had just been 15 minutes since I entered the store in the town center but when I walked outside, it seemed like I had been in for a couple of years. The quiet town became disturbed by screaming people, running in all possible directions. Unintentionally I got caught in the crowd, which dragged me even further into the town center. Completely confused and unaware of what was going on I managed to get out of the crowd.
Suddenly I hear the deep voice of the newspaper vendor shouting over the noise: “Reset announced by BSF2000! Read all about it in this extra issue of the Buzz! Chaos mode starts in a few days!” Numerous players were trying to sell their well saved points and Swiss banks were being emptied, desperately trying to gain some extra gambling money, making sure that no money remained unused. Once again, the time has come that the Bootleggers community was being forced to start all over. The game would experience a fresh start, giving all players an equal chance to success.
After a reset, every player has to create a new account, starting at the rank of a scum, with only $500. With no possibility for an OC, only one option remained to ensure yourself a good spot in the Bootleggers community; ordinary criming. A lot of achievements re-opened for the players; first of a certain rank, first casino owner, first to OC, and so on. But prior to this showdown there is a time of total destruction.
During the Chaos Mode, every player is automatically rewarded with the rank of Legendary Don, including a Hitsqaud, a Reinforced Duesenberg, $500,000,000 and 1,500,000 bullets. On top of that the travel timer and detective’s searching time are significantly decreased and the limit of crews is removed, giving every player something to enjoy. Lots of players try their luck at the local casino’s, while others enjoy being able to shoot at whoever they like.
One thing is sure, the Chaos Mode is a guarantee for fun, something you don’t want to miss!
