This week in the December Doubles event, a timer decrease in certain aspects of the game was implemented! The features that have been affected by this are; gymnasium, crimes, auto burglary, travel, busting and organised crime! These featured weren't just decreased in time by a minimum amount, each feature was decreased by a whopping half! So that means, either one minute, two and a half minutes or 5 minutes for gymnasium, two and a half minutes for auto burglary, forty five minutes for travel, one minute for busting and six hours for organized crime! This event has flocked a massive increase in activity within the game and has made the game easier to play.
But with great power, comes great responsibility some may say. The halved timers have opened up a time space for which people can rank in half the time and train their gymnasium in half the time, effectively meaning that it will take half the time to shoot from your account. Unbelievably, this week we have only seen one major shooting so far which was a surprise to many, who thought that with the decrease in timers we may see a large amount of bullets flying this week! Although the December Doubles event is not yet over, we could possibly see a lot of shooting in the very near future.
What has this done for the game? The game was beginning to die down slowly, because of all the random shootings one would assume. Nobody likes putting in endless hours of work to get back to that precious rank they once had and not to mention the amount of time it takes to get a respectable gun! But, as you can see.. with half of the effort needed, those who have once fallen have come back in an effort to rebuild as quickly as possible. This is noticed by two things, the activity in the game forum and the users online. At peak time during this event, Bootleggers will witness roughly 350 users online which is a massive step up from the roughly 250 users online and hopefully, it will give players the boost they need to once again stick around.
Once again though, this event seems to open a bigger threat to crews that are based on the statistics, a successful underground crew has one thing in mind, shooting and a lot of the time they will shoot at crews to gain ownership of property or even try bring a crew to the statistics. With this event, it gives an underground crew the advantage as it's members can train their gun in such a short period of time, giving them, depending on how many members they have, multiple shooters which will effectively take less time to achieve their objective!
Last week, we had the event, “Free booze for training at the gymnasium” and as much as avid bootleggers enjoyed the fact they could make free money from selling on this new found booze, it was no where near as big as the current event taking place. But what lies ahead for the next event? Double experience and additional pay outs on petty actions! As much as the additional pay outs seem nice I think it will be the double experience that will interest most. Will this be implemented in organised crimes and gymnasium, effectively making it very similar to what we have just experienced? We at the Buzz are eagerly anticipating what will come next in the December Doubles!
