The draught is finally over as BSF2000 seems to have regained his festive spirit this year with December Doubles!
Many would remember various gifts and presents being given away at this special time of the year; the iPods, the X-box and other surprises throughout the many years Bootleggers had peeked. This year it seems BSF2000 decided to go with a different approach, one that would benefit most of the Bootleggers community rather than a selected few.
Starting from December 10th, the first event started to sprinkle as people started to find free booze at the gym after their work out. Stocking up for New Years eve, are we now? We at the Buzz surely made the most of it! A pen in one hand and a glass of Whiskey in the other is the road to every writer's success.
If you missed that week and came over to find the streets full of drunk OC drivers crashing into street lamps, well the best was yet to follow! You got to see those drunk fools crash twice as much everyday. The second week was all about halved timers for gymnasium, Crimes, Auto Burglary, Traveling, Busting and committing Organized Crimes. Pretty cool, huh? You got to gain twice as much money and experience if you timed things correctly. If that sounded like too much work, then the third week must have been a relief. You got to gain twice the experience for any petty crime. And just when you thought you raised your success % high enough to earn more money, the fourth event threw in an even extra bonus cash for all petty crimes! Stealing my car on Christmas? Here, take my wallet just in case you run out of gas.
For those who logged on at Christmas eve also received a handy gift from the future. A $50,000 car from the 21st century was gifted. You can use them in organized crimes too, but most of them transformed into Duesenbergs with the exception of a few that transformed into police cars.
And as if all those events and gifts were not enough, the grand finale was yet to follow. It's snowing bullets! Quick, save em up. We have a few more "presents to wrap up". Bullets were given with every successful crime committed till the very last day of the year.
And the year 2012 did end with a big bang, as the number of "wrapped presents" were found everywhere. Statistics showed to us by a green alien say that December Doubles yielded in an addition of 1,230,741 bullets and $24,972,010 in 98,492 and 98,375 attempts respectively. Not bad for a text based community like ours eh?
