Escrowing Bullets TheWridgelicious

A few days ago a topic had been created in the game forum to discuss whether it would be a good or a bad idea to allow players to send bullets to each other. Should this feature be implemented, and if so, in which way?

Right after the creation of the topic both the up and the downsides had been summed up by the players. The topic clearly showed that most players were against this idea, mostly for understandable reasons. But if these downsides can be removed, will it be a good feature?

Aldarion said that when the escrow feature had been introduced, it was possible to escrow bullets. Not a lot of people were aware of this. Later on this had been removed quickly. Quit some players would not like to see this feature getting implemented again, mainly because it could very well result in an increase of the amount of inactive (or even duplicate) accounts that would only be used for shootings, letting the main account remain unharmed and in some cases even untraceable. On the other side, as Fonzie stated, being able to sell bullets would allow you to gain cash when you are broke. Seeing players are able to sell their guns and protection as well, I think it would be nothing more than logical to allow players to do the same with their bullets. The only difference, a crucial one in my opinion, is that guns and protections can only be sold to the game itself. Therefor these cannot be used to strengthen an account that will be used as a pion later on. Would it be possible to allow players to sell bullets to the game?

In my opinion this is a solution that could be worth looking at. Being able to sell your bullets would allow players to turn their mission and promotion rewards into cash, even though they had received bullets, seeing not every player is going to shoot someone and therefor don’t need the bullets.

But there is also an other side of the medal. At first the price bullets can be sold for has to be set. But because the prices bullets can be bought for fluctuate, the selling price should fluctuate as well. We at the Buzz contacted Mika to see what is opinion was on this subject. “BF owners are the sole people who make a profit of selling bullets, albeit to others. I realize that it is different from selling to the game, but I would really encourage players who need money to utilize the features that generate money and to use bullets to shoot.”

Currently there is also a way for sending bullets to someone else, but this can only be done within a crew. When a crewmember holds a bullet factory, a certain % of bullets can be taken by the crew. Later on the crew owner can send these bullets to a member of his choice. Aldarion stated the following looking at the suggestion; “I also think it would remove an advantage that crews now have as in being able to give bullets to members. Crews barely have any advantages and introducing this would only make matters (even) worse.”

Looking at the big picture, I personally don’t think this feature should be implemented. Even though it would be useful for a small group of players, it does not have the advantages I think a new feature should have. Nevertheless, we at the Buzz would like to hear from you; escrowing bullets, yes or no?
