After the quick departure of Pothead from the Help Desk they began the search for someone who would fill his spot. This was when they came to Himmel who said he had been playing this game since, as he said, "May-ish of 2004". So for those of you who haven't come across his name whilst playing we wanted to get to know him a little more and find out how he was finding this new step in the Bootleggers community.
So first of all we innocently asked him to tell us a bit more about himself and he replied with "My name is Brandon, I keep Sky locked in my basement and in my spare time I like to poke him with one of those electric cattle prods.....just to keep him on his toes." So perhaps that's why he was chosen, he had bullied Sky into giving him the yellow jacket. So we asked him why he thought he had been chosen to try and calm our nerves to which he replied with "That would be a question for Sky but I assume it's because I'm one of those level headed mouldy oldies, and I try to keep things respectful even when someone gets me worked up."
As Himmel has been playing for almost nine years we wanted to know about his time playing, first of all we asked about the crews that he had been a member of during that time. He told us that "I started out as a Regulator, later joined Pentarchy, and when Pentarchy was retired I stole most of the members and formed Penthouse which existed right up until Browneyes shot me (she's an evil woman!). She then threatened to shoot me again if I didn't join forces with her ragged band of misfits, and voila The Invisibles were formed. We've been pink and naked ever since." We also wanted to know more about his favorite moment on Bootleggers before he became a Help Desk Operator. He chose a moment from a previous round: "If I had to pick one I guess I would go with The Invisible having 7 of the 9 State Don's and Nation Don, and after having our fun deciding to end our own reign by shooting each other".
We had heard from other Help Desk Operators when they were chosen they some times had pranks pulled on them by which ever of the Moderators that were going to ask them. We asked him if he would divulge what this had happened to him "I'll never forgive Sky for it I got a BM from him asking me to explain my Keno 'luck' followed by claims he had proof I was cheating, he had me all worked up. When I protested he gave me 2 choices saying option 1 was to accept Ban on Sight.....I asked what the second option was and, well I'm sure you can guess!" Well perhaps Himmel deserved it with locking the poor man in his basement. So how is he finding the new role, Himmel told us that "So far so good, though I'm a little overwhelmed by the number of BM's between being me and now being an HDO".
So what is his favorite thing about Bootleggers today and the worst thing about it. "My favorite thing is the level of activity at all times of day, my least favorite is some of the people responsible for that activity level". And finally we asked if he had any final comments to which he answered, "Where'd that Russian Roulette go? I'm looking forward to one."
