Rounded Up Sodium

So Round 7 is almost an entire year old! Who can believe that? Well when you look back at the amount of action that we've seen its hardly surprising that we've managed to get through so much time. Round 7 has been a great round so far. Although there has been reduced player numbers, on the whole the gameplay has been good, little to no downtime, updates now finally propagating and filtering their way through the game with more to come but what have been the best parts of round 7? We put the question to you and asked What has been your favourite part of round 7, the first state don? the updates? Or BSF2000 quoting your forum post? The responses we received were fantastic. Many members expressed their excitement about updates "My favourite moment is when the updates button turns yellow. Everytime." said NickelNine, boss of Omega Soldiers. This is a very good point. Now that the update button glows intriguingly yellow every time something new happens it does provide a certain excitement to logging in and realising that some fresh update is afoot. The updates that have been provided have really reaffirmed many players faith in the game. HertogPjutter agreed and said that "Sky working on great updates!" was his favourite part of the round so far. The feeling has been very positive towards Sky being able to edit the site.
For some their best moment was being reunited with old friends as T1G3RQUEEN and many agreed. Rank featured heavily with many saying that they enjoyed ranking to some of the most exclusive ranks such as Respectable Don, Legendary Don and for one lucky JAIL member, State Don. AlexanderDeGreat said "My best moment was when I ranked to L.Don #4 and i thought i was going to be the first state done because all other L.Dons are killed only leaving me. But there was a bug with the invite". Indeed this was a shame that there wasn't such a big race to the first nation don at the beginning of the round and since the feature has been reintroduced many people have simply just been killing those who get anywhere close to the required rank. Our very own ShyGuyVI remarked that he had several favourite moments but being promoted to Buzz editor was definitely his favourite. Many people however said that this has not been the best round so far. 2Lazy2DoCrimes said "The moment is still to come when both the EG and most of the community stop playing Bootleggers, the social network game". Quite a few other players agreed with this sentiment in that due to the various issues early on in the round they couldn't get the start they were looking for. It is true, of course, that player numbers have decreased recently but we must hope that in the future these issues stopping more players joining will be fixed, repaired and all together irradicated.

This round however, has brought us some action, some memorable crew wipes, some big politics and a lot of insiding. We've seen Event Horizon rise and fall multiple times as they wage war against The Family. We've seen JAIL claim bullet factories, and more recently, renounce their claims on them. The Phoenix Rebellion have made themselves known on more than one occasion. Boston Mob were one of the early powers but fell months back. Dirty House have been quiet but nevertheless present, 23rd Gunslingers have had their battles and fought their wars. We even saw a fleeting return of Club Boogie. The list is endless and each have their own twists and turns which will remain irrevocably in Bootleggers history.

It is not however, all about what has happened in the past for this round, we've seen our fair share of issues but what of the future? What is in store and what will come to us in the upcoming weeks and months? Well a few things have been announced by the Elite Guard such as the crew system and various other updates which should take place during March. Details are scarce but if there is one thing we know about BSF2000 it is however long it takes him to release the updates they are usually worth waiting for in the end. Even for BSF2000, our Head Administrator, real life comes far before Bootleggers as it always should so we should forgive him as without him there would be no Bootleggers. So as we conclude this first year of the round we can be sure of a few things; first, the Elite Guard will continue to be doing the very best they can to make sure Bootleggers is as fun for everyone to play as it is for them to run. Secondly, we must pass our thanks to all those Help Desk Operatives, past and present, who have helped the game run smoothly; and finally, a big thanks to all of you for playing the game. I can hand on heart say that if Bootleggers didn't have such a committed and cohesive community this game would not be anywhere near as good as it is today. Thanks to all of you for putting your time in and I, and everyone at the Buzz, look forward to the rest of the round alongside you keeping you up to date with the latest events, progressions and, hopefully, updates.
