New Crew: Enemy Of The State Caecus

With Nothing Personal dropping from the Statistics page, a shiny new spot was left open for one keen Bootlegger to start a brand new crew. WhiteBeard (Stow) proved to be quickest on the clicks in order to obtain this spot, and form new crew Enemy of The State (ETS). Leading this new outfit alongside fellow former Buzz writer Wridgey, the crew quickly recruited it's first members and wasted no time in laying claim to Illinois Bullet Factory, previously owned by Nothing Personal. We delved a little deeper into this new crews foundations, interviewing Stow on all things relating to Enemy of The State!

With the crew seeming to of come about a crew spot in rather fortuitous circumstances, namely the wipe of Nothing Personal by unrelated underground crew White Lotus, we wondered whether the forming of the crew has been a spur-of-the-moment click, or a pre-planned action. Stow was clear with his answer, telling us, "I've been planning to form a crew for a long time ever since Vindicta broke up. I had plans in motion and when Wridge approached me about forming a crew with him it just made sense." Continuing to say, "His a good friend of mine of whom I trust so I decided to form one with him. It's going well now and things have picked up very quickly in a short amount of time." So despite perhaps having to work a little less than anticipated to gain a crew spot, it appears we would of been seeing Enemy of The State enter the Statistics at one point or another anyway.

We continued our interviewing, wondering what the plans would be for the crew going forward. Every crew has its own unique short and long term ambitions and goals, Enemy of The State being no exception to this. Stow was decisive in his response in this area responding "Short terms plans would be to recruit as many close friends as possible to the crew. We already have a lot of members both in and outside the crew but one can never be satisfied with the crew numbers." Perhaps outlining the importance of cementing a new crew spot quickly in the early stages of development, not leaving any idle bullet stocker an opportunity to treat you to an early exit from the Statistics!

He went on to clearly outline the crew long term ambitions, telling us, "Long terms plans would be to increase the level of our resources with this Bullet Factory and personal fortunes acquired before in order to become as strong as possible. We don't plan on going out and looking for crew wars but hey, this is a mafia game and so it should be played like one. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we will start attacking crews. I'm just saying we will defend this crew spot and our BF to the fullest." The Bullet Factory alluded to several times in this most latest of statements is that situated in Illinois. Previous ownership of the priceless property was claimed by Nothing Personal, but having been wiped from the stats and not showing any sign of an instant bounce-back, ownership has soon shifted and now appears to lie with the new kids on the block!

This brought more questions, why choose Illinois? Was this now a war with Nothing Personal? Stow cleared things up for us, saying, "I have shot for many BFs as of late but never one to hold for my crew. I needed a BF and when I got threatened by Jab and NP about picking up this crew spot which I hadn't even shot for, I felt insulted and decided this would be the BF we would claim as a punishment." Continuing, "I just had to flex my e-Muscles. I could have wiped them long ago but didn't because a very close friend of mine was friends with Jab so it would be a disrespect to do so. The other crews I thought weren't bad people so I decided to wait for a spot to drop and luckily it did. If anything, I have been very respectful and gave Jab several chances to back off but finally I decided it was time to teach him a lesson as I didn't like how people made him seem like a hot head." Obviously not appreciating the apparently feisty attitude of the Nothing Personal crew Boss, it appears very little action was needed to allow Stow to ensure his new crew benefited and Jab felt the impact of his actions, not least in his pocket.

But with crews coming and going from the Statistics all week, what will see Enemy of The State stand out from the crowd? Will their members stand up and be counted in times of war? Only time will tell. We did however ask Stow what he believed was the key to a crews success in current times, to which he told us, "The key is friends. This game is run by having friends and without them, a crew is nothing. That is a fundamental thing that should be considered when forming a crew." So it would appear is it a case of it not being what you know but who you know, in the game of survival that is the current Statistics page!

Surplus to friendship, Enemy of The State seemed keen to keep hold of Illinois BF. We wondered how much the crew valued this property, and were told, "I would be lying though if I said I didn't care about it because it clearly generates revenue for the crew but we have enough resources tucked away to live without it. That being said, to keep face, we will defend it to the fullest because of course, fortunes favors the brave. That is our crew motto and we stand by it." So despite the fact it might not always be completely necessary, Enemy of The State feel ready to defend and fight for their properties and with the Bullet Factory being referred to coming fresh from a Nothing Personal and then a White Lotus body, the need to defend the property could come sooner than expected.

But do Enemy of The State see Nothing Personal as a threat to their existance? Apparently not! As when asked, Stow gave us this answer, "I see them as not a big threat. Jab is someone that tends to run the crew by himself and not involve his members. That I believe will lead to his demise not to mention talking trash to me. We have enough resources to fend him and his crew off with ease and I suspect he knows that." Going on with what seemed like a personal message for Jab, saying, "For now, I hope he learns his lesson if he wants to continue playing Bootleggers under the name of Jab or anything of that sort." So concluding our chat, Stow had left us in no doubt as to where Enemy of The State wanted to be and the way in which they intended to get there. He left the conversation with one final comment, "Jab, it was 'Nothing Personal'. Just business."

Painful puns aside, Enemy of The State are here and looking to stay. Recruiting hard and fast seems to be their game for now, whilst growing their wealth and expanding their power across as much of the game as possible. Ready to fight where necessary, it remains to be seen how the crew will handle itself in times of war or difficulty. But for now we welcome Enemy of The State to the Statistics. Will it be a lengthy stay or another flying visit? Stay tuned to find out!
