Who Let The Mods Out? Caecus

This week we at the Buzz gave the community a rare opportunity to have their questions put to the games Moderators. Having created a topic and selected all successful questions we got to work talking to every Moderator we could and with Monday night seeing them all online at the same time, we took them all hostage for a moment to answer your questions! Unfortunately BSF2000 was not available to comment and that is why certain questions were not selected for this article.

Our first question came from MarcoLazerri, as he asked, the community has always been one of the things that has set Bootleggers apart from other games. If there was one thing you could change about the community what would it be? Head Moderator Riserva was all to happy to answer, telling us, "Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. The community is what makes Bootleggers and changing it would be changing the game." A slightly duck and dive response from Riserva or the truth? We would like to think it's genuine!

Our next selected question came from current Help Desk Operator Accusavo. He wanted to know, what do you think are the current best aspects of the game and which need the most work? This time it was the turn of Aldarion to answer, as he responded, "I like the way busting has evolved, organized crimes is still a great feature which hardly ever needs changing, imo. Bootlegging is good but needs some tweaks to get it used more. It would be useful to integrate features as much as possible to stimulate people to play the game. Kill needs some serious tweaks, crews is the feature that needs most work. I'd say ranking needs to be looked at as well as the current userbase does not seem to justify ranking taking this long (as least as far as r.don/l.don and state don is concerned)." Admitting that there is areas for improvement perhaps the first steps to dealing with these. But as is all to painfully familiar to the community, words and actions are poles apart, so for now we sit tight and wait for the updates we so badly desire!

The third question from our selected bunch came from Kevlar. He was keen to know, what feature would you most like to see implemented into the game? Once again Riserva stepped up, telling us, "Hah! What I would love to see implemented is already being worked on so... No hints from me!" Apologies to Kevlar for the lack of a fascinating answer to this one, but it does leave a sweet sense of anticipation knowing updates are currently being worked on, surely!

Question number four saw a second entry from Accusavo, asking, many players are calling for modifications to be made to the kill system to make individual players less like sitting-ducks. What is your response to this? This question brought out Mika from hiding, as he told us, "I agree that it could be worth considering some modifications to the current kill system. Possibly to look at some sort of option of being able to defend yourself or to add some more randomness to the feature. How exactly would need to be discussed, though." Clearly not an update that is top of the pile, but with long term topics on this issue running and constant campaigns being started, it can only be a matter of time before the Bootleggers communities prayers are answered. How much time? Who knows!

Kevlar was once again chosen for our next question as he questioned, what do you think the future of Bootleggers is? Who more fitting to answer than the man widely touted the peoples Moderator, Sky. He said, "I think once we've brought balance to the Crews system and taken care of some other critical aspects, developed a mobile site, it'll be a case of attracting more new players and hopefully achieving activity such as we saw 5 years ago. I see good things in the future!" A positive outlook from Sky then with a lot to digest for the future.

Sky once again featured, but this time with a question, asking, if you could be a tree, which tree would you be and why? Riserva was once again around to take this one, telling us, "An oak! So I would grow to be old and mighty!" We were under the impression that half of this wish was already true, we will leave it up to you which half!

Our final question came from Sphinxation. Running the most self-bumped topic in the Off Topic Forum known to man, he asked, why do you think the KPOP thread is so popular? Is it simply because it's a superior music genre to all others? The answer to this most important of questions came from Aldarion, responding, "I think it's mainly popular in the eyes of the creator of the topic as well as the asker of this particular question." So, to KPOP or not to KPOP, we'll leave that one up to you. Aldarion however does not seem that keen.

That brought an end to our time interviewing the Elite Guard members. I would like to personally that all those who submitted questions into the topic, and apologize to any that did not make it to the table. Perhaps next time you will be the lucky one!
