Bullet Factories; Bullets Rob_Stark

Many of the bullet factories, the most prized commodity on the site, have had bullet surpluses in excess of twenty thousand bullets at various times this week. But why is this? How can a bullet factory have twenty thousand bullets this late into the round, especially when you can now see how many bullets are in each factory?

The simple answer is that bullet prices are too high. Even though the total money in the game is incredibly high and more and more players have more money and points, if the price is too high the merchandise won't sell. This is proven by the low bullet counts in the cheaper states.

So why do people set their bullet prices so high? Is it just greed? For those of you who are unaware we at the Buzz feel it is important to share some of the reasons. If a crew owns a bullet factory and sets their price to the highest level it is usually because they don't want people to buy their bullets. They let their Underground shooter buy all the bullets in large amounts and send that player the money they spent back.

Another aspect to consider is the availability of points. Most shooters will use at least some points in order to buy bullets just before they shoot. The points are very closely costed to the most expensive factories these days and are easy to grab lots in one transaction. Another benefit to points is that if you are killed whilst stocking then you don't lose everything.

Finally it is worth considering how many accounts seem to die on a bi-weekly basis. We are seeing a lot more crew wars and attacks then we did at the start of the round and a lot of people are 'living in fear' of stocking 500,000 bullets only to die before they can use them. Most of the players on Bootleggers have felt that pain in one form or another and nobody wants to risk that again. So is this a sign that there are less underground shooters in the game?

The answer to that is quite simply no. You can see the total amount of bullets in the game on the statistics page and that is a very high number. So what can the community do to balance this out? How can we drive the prices down at bullet factories so that the factories don't stock ready for the underground shooters? The only answer we can suggest is to continue doing what we're doing, stop buying and hope that the greedy owners, and careful stockers, will open the game up to a more even playing field.
