Being able to rank up by yourself, without any friends, crew members, allies or enemies.
Thug's being able to shoot L. Dons if they have enough bullets.
1 shooter being able to wipe an entire crew.
None of this has anything to do with mafia, people don’t do things on their own and if you want to stay underground then you won’t get anywhere. There comes a time when you have to step up and shoot someone while looking him in the eyes.
NONE OF THIS IS FINAL, ALL MENTIONED NAMES AND NUMBERS CAN BE CHANGED. I AM NOT AN EXPERT, MERELY HAVE THIS IDEA!
Everyone wanting to rank higher than Thug, should be part of a crew, of course you can be part of a crew as a scum as well.
You are nothing without your crew, you can only do Organized crimes with crew members, you can only be busted by crew members and you can only send messages to crew members. Of course the forums still exists and everyone can talk to anyone there. The fun part of the game should never cease to exist and no matter what your role in the crew, you should always have the possibility to have fun in the forums!
A lot of new official roles should be added to the crew system:
Underboss (1 underboss for 15 people),
Recruiter (1 recruiter for 10 people),
Shooter (maximum 1 shooter for 5 people),
Dirty cop (maximum 1 dirty cop for 7 people),
Strategist (maximum 1 strategist for 7 people),
Informant (maximum 1 informant for 7 people),
Banker (1 banker for 15 people),
State-don (1 state-don per crew),
And finally Mobster (maximum 8 mobsters per underboss)
This means that each underboss should have a similar set-up (the boss and state don/nation don are not part of any underboss team but can join any shootout team regardless):
1 Underboss,
2-4 Shooters,
1-2 Dirty cops,
1-2 Strategist,
1-2 Informants,
1 Banker,
And 2-8 Mobsters.
These roles need specific talents that people can acquire as they now acquire strength, stamina and agility. Those talents include (but are not limited to!): Intelligence, Cunning, Stealth, Negotiation, Influence, Speed, Loyalty, and Ego.
All of these talents are related to the roles mentioned above, for example, you can only become a Strategist if you have enough Intelligence, Negotiation and Influence.
Ego is the main thing for those who want to make sure their options are open and is needed to be able to betray your crew and only very slightly needed for anything else.
The Boss of the crew should be given a lot more power.
He decides who the Underbosses are and how much power they have.
Ranking-up is done within the crew.
When you’re ready to rank, you, your underboss and the crew boss receive a message.
It’s then up to your underboss (if delegated enough power) or your crew boss to promote you.
This of course refers to the roles ranking, not the BL ranking.
Dying should be painful, humiliating and damn difficult.
Everyone can shoot at anyone at any given time alone, no matter what role you take in your crew. Of course this would most likely go against crew policy.
But a special ‘shootout’ feature should be added.
If a Crew wants to shoot another crew with this shootout function, they should declare war.
Only 24 hours after war has been declared can you commit shootouts.
Shootouts are done by the shooters, dirty cops, strategists, underboss and possibly boss or state don/nation don. The higher level dirty cops, the less likely it is for your team to get shot at by policemen, the higher level strategists, the less likely it is for members of the other crew to help each other. The higher level their informant, the more likely it is for their crew members to step in and help.
Of course both crews will make shootout teams and at a certain point these teams will meet. When this happens the game is on. If the dirty cop is a high enough level, cops will join to shoot at the other crew members. If the strategist is a high enough level, the other crew members can skip rounds. If the Informant is a high enough level, the members will shoot at the weakest player.
Each person can shoot a limited amount of bullets each round, depending on their BL rank, crew role and the level in that role. For example, a shooter can always shoot 2.5 times more than everybody else in a different role with the same rank. Every BL rank gives you * 0,5n2 + 0,5n more bullets per round. Thug being n = 1. And then the level of the role you have also gives you * 1,2 more bullets per round. The starting point is 100 bullets per round for a Thug.
Each role has a “level meter” which is determined by the duration of the person being in that position, BL rank of that person, activity of that person, loyalty of that person and the lower your Ego the better. The maximum should be around 100, which would take you about as long as becoming L. Don in the BL ranking system. If your activity drops, you can lose levels, unless you are on Vacation, which has to be approved by your crew Boss.
All crew members can be seen by everyone, but their role is invisible, only the boss of the crew is seen in his role by everyone outside the crew, as it is today. Even inside the crew, only bosses and underbosses will be able to see (on BL) who has what role. On the crew forum or crew UG website, the crew can decide what information to share with everyone.
Of course this information can be dug up, by the informant. If done correctly he can find out the roles, level, wealth and location of any person. But if this goes badly the underboss and boss of the targeted crew and underboss team will get to know his information and that of his underboss.
Some things to consider:
Should the rank of all people be visible or only from the state dons and nation don, as is the role of the boss in crews?
All parameters should be very well thought over, all numbers mentioned, all “talents” required, the bullet per round, the roles themselves of course and the pros and cons of those roles.
Leaving a crew, you can not stay by yourself, but of course you do have the option to “betray” your crew and become part of another crew. What should you lose, if anything, role level, wealth, protection and gun?
The main objective of this change is to force people to work together, be part of a “family” and increase the crew’s power and function. This will also abolish the fact that so many things happen underground and online crews nowadays are more target practice than anything else.
