In the Buzz released two weeks back, we saw a 1,000 point giveaway and all you had to do was solve what sentence four images made. Easy huh? Well, apparently not, as a week passed without a successful guess. But with a clue given and entries once again flooding in, we found our winner in double quick time. But who could of solved this most frustrating of puzzles? None other than one of the biggest whores known to man, BrownBess, also known as Nate! With a list of names in his profile longer than a fireman's hose, he is a regular to be found posting across every forum.
We caught up with BrownBess to see what he had to say on solving the puzzle. How had he gone about busting open the mystery that was? BrownBess gave us a detailed description of his investigations, piece by piece. He began, "I started on the first Sunday the riddle was published, I managed to solve the 4th image very quickly. It was pretty obvious that it was Braille and it didn't take long to work out what it said." Continuing to say, "I figured out the 3rd image shortly after that. I had a sudden brainwave that the answer to what the image was was contained in the Hex code. A quick screenshot, and use of paint's eyedropper tool gave me the RGB numbers which I then converted into the Hex code. Pretty simple stuff." To some this may be simple stuff, but in all honesty I had a look at the images myself and I was at a complete loss as to the meaning of any of them!
But at this point BrownBess found himself at a loss as to the meaning of the other two images and thus the complete sentence. It was not until the next edition of the Buzz was released and clues began to be added, that he reformed his interest in the competition and began to formulate his answer. He told us, "I left it for a week until the hints started showing up and with the first image being revealed I now had 3 of the words. I waited for the next hint and received the order and the only real word that fit to make a sentence was 'the'." So, a complete sentence was now available to submit for BrownBess, and he did so, taking the prize and title in all it's glory!
A healthy sum of 750 points found it's way to BrownBess in due course. But what plans did he have for this small fortune? He said, "As they're in point form, I plan to keep them as points until if/when I decide to start playing the game again. I could do giveaways with them as well if I never play again. For now, though, I'll keep 'em safe and secure, as long as I don't get banned." So perhaps a thing for the community to look for in the future would be a giveaway by this forum regular. Failing that, a return to action from the often gunned down forum fanatic may be on the cards!
We continued our interview with a brief look into BrownBess's Bootleggers ambitions and rivalries at the current time. A regular feature across the forums is what seems like a keen rivalry with fellow forum whore Redwood. When asked to comment on Redwood, BrownBess told us, "Well, after today, he doesn't really have a leg to stand on with insulting anyone. He's a total embarrassment to this game and I think he should be exiled permanently from this website." If nothing else, an honest answer from BrownBess there, cutting no corners in making his feeling clear on the individual!
We concluded our interview by asking BrownBess his ambitions for the rest of the round, to which he replied, "As boring as it is to say, I don't have any. I come on here to waste time and annoy some people." So, keep up the good work BrownBess!
