Welcome to another issue of Forum Post of the week. In this issue we will be featuring an entire topic not just a single post.
Many players have been talking about BSF2000 in recent weeks, some praising him for appointing Sky as a Moderator with code access. Others have been criticising him for telling us in his latest "2000 Characters" that various features would be implemented this week and they have not yet appeared. This week we saw a topic posted by WalterWhite which voiced what many players had been thinking. The topic followed a comment made in an earlier thread which roughly suggested that if players stopped buying points then BSF2000 would be forced to make some real changes to the game.
The topic has finally said what many players have been thinking. Whilst Sky has been permitted to make some smaller scale changes we have unfortunately not seen anything bigger from a coder who has clearly shown his worth already. Indeed for many players the updates that he has brought are the single bit of hope they've got that there is a future for Bootleggers. The topic includes a picture for people to place on their profile explaining that "the owner", as it states, is not taking care of the game and warns players to invest not just their time carefully but also their money. The hope is that the points bought will reduce thus making BSF2000 want to improve the game. However, some might feel that really this is not necessary. Whilst BSF2000 does keep missing the deadlines he sets often when he does deliver the updates they are of good quality. There are always set backs and as he tells us, he does wish to improve the game. Whether or not this is genuinely for a better playing experience for the players or whether the added income would be welcomed is still to be questioned though. Many players have posted in this topic words of encouragement to WalterWhite and some are now displaying the picture on their profiles. Whatever his aim in publishing the topic it has certainly sparked some very interesting debate about whether or not BSF2000 and Bootleggers is really worth the time and, in some cases, money that people devote to it.
Whilst this article is usually set aside for a single comment this topic has gathered so much interest and contrast the normal topics that this week we felt it deserved the accolade of forum post of the week! Keep your eyes peeled for next week's winning forum post!
