This week saw a lot of action in terms of shooting and chitter chatter. But in the early hours of Saturday, we saw the sign-up dates of users changed as the usually scroll-able options of date joined, originally joined and last seen disappeared to be replaced by "It's a secret!" This was first noticed by Stow_General6 in the Forums as he brought it to users attention in the form of a thread which read:
They have disappeared.

The possibility of providing some sort of function for users to go underground with has been widely discussed for some time. At the present moment if you continually play from one e-mail address, then you can be tracked through accounts using the Original Date Joined option. This means that users will either often be found when underground, or have to keep signing up with new emails, which does not help when you need to transfer over topics, friends list or points.
The success of such an option could of course only be gauged by a trial period in the game. It may be the case that depending how it is implemented, those whom use the feature would prove more suspicious than those who don't and would result in more shootings of seemingly random accounts in bids to control the masses.
In a bid to clear up the confusion and questions Aldarion joined the Forum discussion, revealing that this update is only currently being developed and will provide options and be a sound solution to current issues seen with going underground and other such points that we have seen of late. Whether this proves to be the case or not will be down to player reaction following full implementation of the feature. But for now, It's a secret!
But what do you make of these potential changes? Should it be made easier for users to go untraceable and underground? Is this just another measure which will hinder the progression of crews, not being able to trace back history of possible applicant? Do you have a better idea? All things we want to hear your answers to as well as raising any points of your own!
