The week in passing saw the resignation of Hellhounds as Boss of JAIL, as he suck new ventures in the world of Bootleggers. Part of this resignation was also that he would be taking the crew name which most of his time had been devoted to with him, so JAIL was to undergo some changes. Many regard this as a slightly strange decision, as we commonly see the retirement of Bosses simply meaning that other senior members of crews step up into the roll. But Hellhounds was having none of that, and crew whos' member base also includes many members of past busting crew The Chain Gang must now rethink their name at least, if not more. We got in contact with MrPatjuh who was the new holder of the crew, and formed part of the leadership team of renamed outfit Jailbreak Paradise. Leadership team? All will be revealed.
So with former Boss Hellhounds having vacated the crew, and appearing to of delved into the labyrinth of the underground, JAIL was renamed to Jailbreak Paradise and the new structure of leadership established. We asked MrPatjuh who former part of this, to confirm for us the leadership of the crew, which he did saying, "The old council of JAIL (Foxie, Shiver, NaughtyNellie) is in charge of our new crew. We have decided to do it with the four of us and not make one the boss. We all respect each other and the decisions we make and we felt there wasn't one of us who should be the boss." A healthy respect for each other is all well and good, but what will happen should their be a divide in opinion of this new team of leaders? MrPatjuh went on to say, "We don't want one person to make the decisions, but we want to discuss our options with each other and the crew!" The appreciation of members and their views on crew related issues is one which you do not always see in Crews, however Jailbreak Paradise look to have adopted this principal. With no designated leader however, it remains to be seen what would happen in times of testing circumstance or splits in opinion.
But what affect could Hellhound's resignation as Boss of JAIL have on the crew that remained? MrPatjuh was both appreciative and confident in his response, as he told us, "Hellhounds has always been a great boss of JAIL and it's a shame he made his decision to leave. I understand his decision though. He didn't have fun anymore in playing Bootleggers because of leading the crew. It even effected his personal life and I think it's the right decision to retire, because it's still a game and you should play for fun!" A fitting tribute to his former Boss then. MrPatjuh went on to tell us, "It has effected the crew so far that we had to change name and color, because we can't be affiliated with his future actions. But the main purpose of the crew stays intact. We are still a peaceful busting crew." So little is set to change in terms of the foundations and motivations of the renamed group. However, does this move away from the name Hellhounds established suggest his future actions could result in bad feeling towards his old crew should they have kept the name JAIL?
We put this question to MrPatjuh, but he did not seem to want to commit to a definitive answer as he said, "I'm not to sure about that. But we'd like to stay ahead of that. Changing the name and color was also the wish of HellHounds himself." So, are we to perhaps see Hellhounds feature in a Buzz article in the near future for differing reasons? Only time will tell. For now we welcome Jailbreak Paradise to the Statistics. Will their stay be long? Will they continue to be the busting force we have come to know? Will their former Boss be shaking things up from the underground that he now presides in? All things that we will keep a close eye on here at the Buzz!
