The week in passing saw the purchasing and then varied name changes of the crew spot that would eventually shed one of it's Bosses and be dubbed The Notorious Gangsters. The crew quickly recruited a few members, and established their recruitment topic in the Game Forum. We caught up with former Axteze member and now Boss of The Notorious Gangsters, CheefKeef to get the low-down on this new addition to the Statistics page!
But what did this new Crew stand for? Busting, shooting or something else? We asked CheefKeef what the main goals or aims of The Notorious Gangsters would be and he told us, "To be a big friendly family." A simple answer but one not always easily achieved within the game. We went on to ask the Crews Boss what the short and long term goals would be for the crew to achieve that aim. The two answers complimented each other as he said, "Long term would be to own a 50 member crew spot, with around 40 nice loyal members. Short term, to find new active members!" The achieving of The Notorious Gangsters long term goal then would hinge on the short term being successful and with recent times seeing many individuals seeking some sort of sanctuary within crews, it would appear they have every chance of being successful.
With such clear strategy in place, it seemed this may of been a planned entrance to the Statistics, however this was not the case as when asked CheefKeef told us, "Definitely a spur of the moment venture." Did this therefore mean that they would be lacking in the ability to defend their spot? Or did the Crew perhaps hold alliances with other Statistics or indeed underground operations? We asked CheefKeef who revealed, "We have good friends in Enemy of The State and Death Valley, I feel we are prepared should the situation arise." So, with close friends in two slightly more well established Statistics Crews, The Notorious Gangsters seem confident the longevity of their stay will be great.
We moved on from this to look at CheefKeef's appreciation of his members. As some recent events appear to highlight this may be lacking in some crews, we asked him what he made of crews who appear not to stand up for their members when shot. He told us, "I think crew bosses who dont stand up for their members shouldn't even be crew bosses. I have my members back no matter what, i put them first." Words that will surely please anyone either a part of or seeking membership within The Notorious Gangsters. Actions however always speak louder than words and they will only be held as true if proven, should they need to be. Our next question for CheefKeef was what he looked for, besides previously mentioned loyalty, in his recruits, to which he said, "To be active in the crew forum, social and decent ran." A standard set of requirements then should you look at joining The Notorious Gangsters.
To conclude our interview with CheefKeef we asked him to sum up The Notorious Gangsters as a crew in no more than a sentence and he did so saying, "A loyal, friendly family." So, what do you make of this new outfit? An unplanned venture confirmed, but one which looks to gather momentum as it drives recruitment and looks to rapidly expand. Should they run into trouble, will their alliances within Enemy of The State or Death Valley be forthcoming? Only time will tell. For now however we welcome The Notorious Gangsters to the Statistics!
