Each week we at the Buzz interview two random players of Bootleggers. How random? Well, we go to the Users Online, close our eyes and we have a few clicks. Awesome, we know. So, here are the two interviews of this week! Enjoy!
RadgeyFadge
Hello RadgeyFadge! Please introduce yourself to the Bootleggers Community! Alreet, I'm Nathan, 23 years old and I live in Newcastle (England). Been playing the game about a year but had an account when I was in school many moons ago. I work part time usually every weekend Dj'n in events or clubs. I have a 15 month old son he keeps is busy through the week and another 1 on the way!
Awwww congratulations! A DJ, that's awesome. DJ of a big club, little pub orrr?! Its more rave events then anything, I do a set usually for about 1 hour or so, theres about 6 or 7 DJs on the roller. Done it for years and years just the scenes gone quietly lately so some times may not work for 3 - 4 weeks, which is probs better for me 'cos my body cant handle a weekend bender nowadays after a good 7 years of abuse ha!
Do you only work as a DJ? Working 1 hour isn't a lot?! I lost my job in March as a Poker Dealer, well i say lost, I got sacked haha and its been tough finding a job since, specially where I live.
Did you study? If so, what exactly? I was a little shit in my teenage years, I was actually quite bright til I got in wrong crowd of people about 14/15, started getting subjects dropped and expelled from school, but i did sort my self out to do Business Studies at college, made it through to 2nd year but knew it was a pointless course to do. I've mainly worked more then studied its worked out better, I mean why go to uni get yourself in thousands of pounds of debt and still not have a job out of it?? My opinion.
Seems legit. What are your plans for now? Searching? If so, for what? Well I live in an old mining town so work here is mostly Factory work or labouring or other slave labouring jobs, so I dont want to get sucked into them sort of dead end jobs. Especially with my past experience, I may be starting work at another casino next week through a good friend so thats the plan, got a family to feed and a lass to keep happy ha!
Haha great! About Bootleggers. Why do you like it so much? Well after I did all the missions I really really got bored of the game but what makes it good atm is probs the crew I'm in ETS, everyone has good banter and we're always doing things, planning stuff and getting involved more in the game. The forums are good to read to, watching who's shooting who and people ripping the piss out of people makes it fun for me haha! There's always something to do on the game, I'm getting quite a good buster atm too winning a few comps, people are very generous at times. There's always something you can do on the game when you get higher ranked, only thing that pisses me off is the casino's and how much I've lost haha!
Haha! What about the amount of players? Too low or just fine?! It would be nice to have some more players definately, at the minute the numbers arnt too low theres always a 100+ people online at any time its not completely dead. More users online for OCs would be better too, the amount of OCs i've done lately with really low ranks is beyond a joke. Bit of advertising by people wouldnt hurt stick it on Facebook, twitter whatever or let BSF splash out on a bit of cash and get it advertised to a bigger audience I mean where is he lately???
What would you change if you were BSF2000? Hmm tough 1, I wouldn't change much... maybes more missions?? Probs enable the Photo Album again I don't understand why thats stopped. I honestly couldnt tell you what I'd change, I think putting a topic up in the forum and ask people what they think you'd get a better picture.
Awesome. What's your favourite feature? The logout button haha nahhh joking! Busting at the minute, every week or so there is a big bust comp where everyone wins something which is a great feature. Ranking is also good, I think they need to change the whole idea of state don and nation don. Its bad to see them being shot 24 hours after just getting there, They need to stricten that up But yeah busting.... once you get a few hundred under your belt it can win you some decent money.
Haha awesome! Who's your favourite Moderator and Help Desk Operator? What are they??? Sky... he's great only 1 who puts some effort into the game, and for HDO probs yourself I like reading your articles int he buzz each week so give yourself a pat on the back!! (and no he never paid me to say this)!
Awww thanks! I'll pay you after the interview, just like we discussed! Random questions incoming! Favourite DJ?!
Me haha! I love my own music and what I do with it ha!! But seriously probs push the boat out and say Tiesto, but I like different DJs from different genres, David Guetta is fantastic for the work he's done with other artists... him with Snoop Dogg - Wet unreal tune. Fav DJs from my area and music probs be DJ Chrissy G and a few Hardcore DJs but all in all I'd say myself haha!
You got some of your music on YouTube?! Yeah, but not any i've put on myself, just off cd's from events someones uploaded! I have a couple on SoundCloud lately too.
Awesomeeeee! Favourite animal? Animal?? really? I like steak, pork, lamb so any farm yard animal they taste lovely! Me mother's just getten a 9 week old yorkshire terrior puppy and it's one of those "awwwwww" dogs so I'd say dogs really, but not staffies or anything thats big and vicious like rottweilers, anything a postman wouldnt deliver your post to!
Rofl! Favourite chocolate taste? Is this going somewhere?! Fav chocolate taste? hmmmm not much to choose from to be honest, probs white chocolate! whats with all the girl questions! give me a man question bitch!!
Who has the most beautiful ass in the world? Your wife excluded. My lass wouldnt even be included haha, and wife?? steady on pal not even engaged hahaha! Nicest bot?? hmm J-Lo has always had the nicest arse I mean it's super curvy nice and bouncy just stares at you in the face!! But I dont think shes attractive as to someone like hmm Mila Kunis or Katherine Jenkins the opera singer them 2 would probs shrink my balls!
How many inches? Inches? How big do you think they are?! I think they'd shrink enough for me to start talking like a woman!
I wasn't talking about asses this time, but eyyyyy! Anyways, what's behind your name?! Ha! Well not to be rude, but I'm going to, my previous name last time was SugarPuffFanny, which is a reference for a womans vagina... so this time I just stayed along those times "Fadge" is a geordie slang for vagina and "Radgey" means crazy in slang... so yeah .. that!
Gulp. So kids, go tell your mum! Anything you'd like to add sir?! Yeh, can you send me that 1mil you promised for saying that nice stuff about you before...
RowYourBoat
Hello RowYourBoat! Could you introduce yourself to the Bootleggers Community? Alright. My name is Tyler. I've been playing BL on and off for the past several years, but have been much more active recently. J.A.I.L was my first crew, but now we are Jailbreak Paradise. I graduated from Lake Superior State University in Sault Sainte Marie, MI last weekend, and will be attending graduate school at either the University of Texas at El Paso or the University of Kansas this fall.
Ohhh congratulations! What did you study? Geology. For those who do not know what that is, it is the study of the earth. Most people had to take earth science in 8th or 9th grade. I am specializing in soft rock, specifically carbonate diagenesis.
Carbo... what?! Carbonates are rocks composed primarily of CaCO3, calcium carbonate. They are born not made, meaning that they are derived from organic material. Usually they are composed of the hard parts of oceanic creatures, mollusks, brachiopods, bryozoans, crinoids, etc. The Great Barrier Reef is a great modern day example of a carbonate platform.
Why do you like that study so much? Carbonates are interesting to me because I like to visualize the predator/prey relationships that occur with the organisms living in the oceanic environments where they are made. It is neat to see the way the niche spaces were occupied through time, and how we can study the ancient carbonate depositions to learn what earth was like hundreds of millions of years ago. Also, I plan on going into natural gas and oil exploration, and carbonates play a large role in many hydrocarbon reservoirs. I like geology because it is very interesting to understand the processes that formed the landscape that surrounds us. Most everything that we consume is derived from the earth: the computer I am talking to you on, your cell phone, the plaster on your kitchen walls, the gasoline that powers your car, the coal that powers your house. Everything come from the ground, and somebody has to understand the processes that formed these minerals, REE's, or natural gases in an effort to discover more of them.
Hmm interesting. What kind of job can you get with such a study? Well, right now I am working with one of my professors at Lake Superior State and a professor from the University of Ottawa. I am processing cores (crushing and dissolving the CaCO3 in acid) to retrieve the conodonts from them. Conodonts are microfossils, about the size of a speck of dust, that can be used to determine the depositional environment of the core because certain species only live in specific environments. Oil companies hire people who can do this work, called biostratigraphers, to help identify the unit of rock that they are drawing hydrocarbons from in an effort to find that unit elsewhere in the world. I also could work in a university doing research similar to what I am doing right now. Hopefully, it will be oil.
That's amazing! Some questions about Bootleggers coming up. Current state of the game, your opinion! It has definitely slowed down from the glory days. There are fewer people online, but I think that that has allowed the community to become more close-knit. That being said, I think it is going to be very hard to as many people playing as in the old days. I have no idea how you would advertise a game such as this, and it often appears that BSF2000 does not care about the state of the game anyway.
What about the crew feature? Useless at this moment? I'm sorry, I do not know what you mean by crew feature.
Different approach then! What do you think about Crews on Bootleggers? I've only ever been in the crew that I am in now. I like the fact that we are a jail busting crew, and peaceful. The crew has allowed me to make friends with people from all over the world, and that is pretty much the sole reason I play the game. So I guess I think that crews are pretty dang neat!
Awesome! What kind of feature would you ''create'' if you had the powahz?! I would modify two of the old features. First, I would allow double downs in Blackjack. I think that should have been updated years ago. Second, I would make a timer in between kills. It would probably be about a 15 minute timer. I feel that would be fair and still allow a pretty quick kill streak. It would also make it necessary to work with other people to go on a kill streak.
Hmm alright. Random questions incoming! Favourite sport? I am a huge baseball fan. I watch or listen to every Chicago Cubs game. I also play daily fantasy leagues, though I am only up $1.46 on the season. The ups and downs are so unpredictable!
Haha awesome. Mika or Aldarion? Mika, hands down.
Nicest player on Bootleggers? Hippy is the friendliest player on BL. He always has kind things to say, and is a helluva buster for a low rank, too. The best player to talk to, however, is C_Jacks00. He is funny as hell and easy to relate to.
Worst player?!
Right now I am holding a grudge on Cratos. I am still pissed at him for recently beating me in a crew bust competition, even though I basically had him beat.
Awesome! Now, last question! What's behind your name 'RowYourBoat'?! My name before this was BreakMeOffAPiece. I made it because I had just died and was watching television. A Kit-Kat commercial came on, and I thought "hey, that's my new name." For RowYourBoat it was similar. I died, couldn't think of a name, so decided to turn on the t.v. and name myself the first thing that came to mind. The first thing I saw was a rowboat, so I decided on the name RowYourBoat. Pretty silly, but I like it nonetheless.
Haha, excellent! Thanks a lot for your time. Is there anything you'd like to add? Yeah, tell BSF to make the updates that I suggested. Actually, don't tell him. Order him!
Fair enough! Two awesome interviews this week! A huge thanks to RowYourBoat and RadgeyFadge for the interviews! I hope you liked it, till next week!
