This week the Buzz created a topic at the Game Forum with an interesting poll: ‘Round 7. Continue or reset?’ This round is more than one year old. Is it time for a reset? Some changes? Both options? Nothing? In this week’s poll we gave you four options; no reset, no reset but changes, a reset or a reset AND changes. The topic at the Game Forum started an interesting discussion. The conclusion of the discussion was summarised by a post of our lovely Moderator Mika. He stated: ‘A reset right now would be one of the most stupid things that could be done. None of the changes made by Sky are large or would, in any way, change the problems of this round. Therefore there is no sense in resetting the game before the bigger planned changes are complete. All you would be doing by resetting now is creating a replica of this round’. So, some changes first and after that a reset? Interesting, but what kind of changes?!
Before there is going to be a reset, several features has to be changed or added. The blackjack feature is not a very important feature, so let’s skip that one. The accomplishment feature? Maybe this feature will result in more activity of the players? Is this feature really the key to the success of Bootleggers? I doubt it. What is exactly the key to the success of Bootleggers? The crew feature maybe or the kill feature? Both features play an important role at Bootleggers and the Elite Guard already mentioned that they are working on a new crew system. A new crew system may lead to better game-play, but I believe it is not a solution to increase the amount of players.
The results of the poll are clear; we need changes. BrokenArrow is a player who also posted it in the topic at the Game Forum. His post is an excellent summary of this article: ‘Bootleggers needs new updates from BSF and everyone can agree with that. Also, once the new features are released then it will be appropriate for a reset to occur in a fairly short period after that. Bottom line: It all starts with BSF's updates’. It all starts with BSF2000. That means we have to wait. The only question which is remaining; for how long? It seems this round is over and most players want a reset. Unfortunately we won’t see a reset until BSF2000 introduces the new features.
