Behind The Name ShyGuyX

Each week we at the Buzz interview two random players of Bootleggers. How random? Well, we go to the Users Online, close our eyes and we have a few clicks. Awesome, we know. So, here are the two interviews of this week! Enjoy!

Skanks4TheBust

Hello Skanks4TheBust! Could you please introduce yourself to the Bootleggers Community?!
My name is Zach, I'm 24 and I live in St. Paul Minnesota. I've been playing this game since last august, and then originally for a little while in 2005.

Awesome! Do you study/work?!
I work in a library actually. I'm planning to go back to school within the next year or so, probably for some sort of library sciences or history thing.

A library! What kind of job?
I work in circulation, so essentially making sure books are checked in and out, and returned to their correct spot on the shelves. And dealing with patrons who want to pay fees or complain haha.

You like reading yourself?
I enjoy reading from time to time. I'm more of an outdoorsman though, so I don't really have the time to sit down to read that often.

What are your hobbies?!
Well, I love playing frisbee golf, most mornings in the summer I get out for a game before I go to work. I also ride a motorcycle, I put a lot of miles on that every year, traveling around the midwest. I usually go out on a lot of camping trips with that thing. But I probably spend most of my time smoking reefer, drinking beer, and hanging out with my friends.

Frisbee golf?!
It's golf with a frisbee, instead of hitting a ball in a hole, you throw a frisbee into a basket of hanging chains. It's a very popular "sport".

How did you come up with that idea?
The game has actually been around for many years. I don't know where it originated, but I know of people who played it as far back as the 70s. I've only been playing it since about 2005, when my friend introduced me to it. There are over thirty 18 hole courses around the city I live in. But it's played all over the country!

How far can you throw with a frisbee? I mean, maximum score?!
The holes vary from 100 or so feet to 700+ feet. Depending on if I'm throwing down a hill or having to curve the throw at all I can throw up to about 350-400 feet. The record is something absurd like 800 feet. All holes are a par 3, at least the way the old timers play. I've only gotten 1 hole in one in my life, but I've had 3 or 4 bounce outs.

That's epic. Bootleggers time! Current state of the game, your opinion?!
Well my opinion is similar to most other peoples in that I think the game is on a steady slow decline. I don't think people really have much of an interest to continue playing, especially the ones who get killed in mass shootings. After a big shooting fewer and fewer accounts spring back up.

Is being killed just part of the game or do those players have a poor mentality?
It's part of the game. Every player on here has been killed, and if someone hasn't, they just haven't been on here long enough. Sure some people go out and do dumb things that end up getting them killed more often then others.

If you had the powers to add a feature, what kind of feature would you add?
Wow that's a good question. To be honest I don't have any real ideas for adding things. Others have had good ideas in modifying the way that shooting happens, and I agree with those (such as backfire), but I've never really thought of something cool to add. Maybe a separate UNO forum haha!

Haha! You are a quite a big fan of busting. Why is that?
Busting is very unpredictable. It's the only timer in this game you can't trust 100% of the time, and you really never know what your odds are for busting someone out. Plus it's just a fun way to interact with people, it can be real fast paced if you get some high ranked friends hanging out in Illinois. I will admit though, what first truly attracted me to busting was hosting bust parties back before they were very common. There were some fun, unique ones back before Sky made that awesome forum setup. I remember you hosted some really cool twisty comps as well!

True story! Random questions incoming! Worst crew on Bootleggers?
My old crew was probably the worst, A Crew With Blackjack and Hookers, we didn't even last a whole day!

Haha! Most awesome player?
Just because I can't wait to hear the reaction in my crew forum, Payne!

I'm so going to change that. Favourite power ranger?
Red one!

If you had the ability to become a Pokemon. Which one would you pick?
Snorlax.

You're fat. Alrighty! So, what's behind your nickname?!
Not at all! Well I'm lazy, and I got really tired of thanking people for busting me back when I played in 2005, so I decided to come up with a name so I didn't have to. When I came back, that was the only name I remembered using, so I took a chance hoping there would still be busting, and it turned out there was haha! And since everyone seems to enjoy it, I've just gone with variations of the name that make me laugh.

SneakBiteV6

Oh hai SneakBiteV6! Could you introduce yourself to the Bootleggers Community?!
Sure, I'm pascal from holland, 23 years old and i'm an electrician!

Electrician, that's awesome. Isn't it a dangerous job?
Well it could be, ofcourse we have our safety protocols that we cant work with the electricity on. But sometimes we come in a situation we just cant put the power off or working in a main power house. You just need to keep your head always on the right place and think about doing something twice. I had 4 times a shock in my live so far (hope to keep it with it). One time I past out and felt off the ladder but I have learned from that!

That's amazing! Got any more interesting stories?!
Well I fell off a scaffolding (alaminium frame with wheels that u can set up yourself and can be adjust in hight by replacing the standing platform back you have a X frame) felt down head down to the ground the last moment I could helt my head for my head so i could protect my head (but that wasnt my biggest problem, the whole scaffolding was coming with me) so i turned around quick to catch the scaffolding from falling on me! We have really much rules in holland depends construction itself or working at it. We have too much rules if we should obey all rules we cant do our work normal. All construction workers are responsible for their own safety and cannot take an action if the risk are too high, if he do it anyways and someone from ARBO (construction inspection) he will get a extreme fine and if he hurt himself doing something dangerous the health insurance can say that u must pay all hospital cost yourself...

Scary stuff! Why did you decide to become electrician?
Well i was done with school when i were 15 and i wanted to work, i just done basic electricen and i was sure i never wanted to work with that anyways, so i started working in a mall and some other places but it was really not my thing. i hate going everyday to the same place and behind a desk i fell a sleep. So some friends of me starting to work as electrician and could get a bonus if they could get new people to the company he would get €700 bonus if the new one made 500h ours and we should split that. It was a good idea and though after the 500hours i would leave, but i actually liked it! I am still working as electrician without having any diploma's for it, but i really think i should pick it up next year. but its really hard to pick it up after all those years without school!

Fair enough! You can do it! Alright, time to talk about Bootleggers. What's your opinion of the current state of the round?
Well its my first round of bootleggers. I play almost a year now and still addicted to it! I must be honest, i don't be as active as i used to be but a lot of friends quit the game because of the reduced players. Sad to see the total players keep lowering. I really hope we could attract some more players with something and make it like "old times".

How would you attract new players if you were BSF2000?
Hard to say. but i have the idea we dont attract the younger public anymore, so we need in some kind of way to promote it to the target group. Maybe by advertising (commercials, banners on websites) and by letting them now what kind of a game it is (much people judge bootleggers is just clicking game before knowing the rest of it). And more mission and new jail games (that new ppl dont get annoyed of waiting haha). Of course this is all easy to say, im not in his footsteps!

Hmm ok. What's your favourite feature?
That should be busting although I lately get shot before being the buster i used to be. Oh, and I always do the missions!

Favourite staff member?
Sky.

Awesome! Random questions incoming. Favourite historical person?!
None, I live in the future!

Awesome! If you had the ability to become an animal, which one would you pick and why?!
A bunny! ***ing around whole all day!

Rofl! Favourite Pokemon gym leader?
Lol, that take some times back. I think Erika the grass gym, because most of the times i start with charmander!

Haha awesome! So, what's behind your name?
Well when I was young started playing multiplayers games and stuff i tried to spell SnakeBite but i spelled SneakBite. Since than i never changed it!

Fair enough! Two awesome interviews this week! A huge thanks to SneakBiteV6 and Skanks4TheBust for the interviews! I hope you liked it, till next week!
