Update: Rank Requirements ShyGuyXIV

If you wanted to reach the rank ‘Don’ you approximately needed to commit around 100 successful Organized Crimes. For the record, that takes around two months of playing. Fair enough. Reaching the rank ‘Respectable Don’ took you the double amount; 200 Organised Crimes. Four months of playing without being killed, pretty an accomplishment. Legendary Don took you around 70 Organized Crimes more. Five months of surviving random kill sprees. State Don? Again, 70 Organised Crimes more. Only a few players were able to accomplish that. The result? They got killed after a few days, a pity for their hard work. This week we witnessed a change; a major change. The rank requirements were lowered, which resulted in quite a few more State Dons and… Our first Nation Don of the round.

It started with the third State Don of Illinois; tommyballbat4. Next was RatFaceRay, who decided to pick the state Louisiana. Even more? Plenty of more to come. The next State Don was AnaheimDucks who decided to pick Michigan. It was the first time this round that we witnessed more than one State Don, alive. Fortunately there was way more excitement on the way, because after a few days we already witnessed the promotion of the first Nation Don of round 7. Congratulations RatFaceRay also known as Ratty!

The Buzz had a talk with the one and only Nation Don Ratty. We asked him how he was feeling after his well-deserved promotion. Ratty stated: ‘I thought reaching LDon was great and then SDon it was out of this world. Then NDon, man I have to say that my head is still spinning. It all came about so fast. I knew I was close to SDon. It is hard to put into words. The only words that comes to mind is HECK YEAH’. Happiness all over the top! According to Ratty, he needed around 300 successful Organized Crimes to make it to Nation Don. A big change, because if I remember correct you needed more than 400 Organized Crimes to make it to Nation Don before. Anyway, we also wanted to hear some more information about the future plans of our lovely Nation Don. Ratty replied: ‘I bring a different style to the NDon spot. I’m here to OC and help people when or where I can. Yes that sounds so lame. I’m not a shooter. And the kills I do have where for a personal reason. No massive shooting spree planned from me. It may cost me my life sooner than later, so be it’. At the moment of writing this article the yellow Nation Don is still standing, something which I, personally, did not expect. Finally, Ratty wanted to thank everyone who helped him by reaching nation Don! After the interview we had another looks at the States page and guess what? Even more State Dons, dead ones included.

We witnessed the death of tommyballbat4 and AnaheimDucks, but their places were taken fast enough. RGT (Illinois), terrapin (Michigan), Jamaican (New York) and SirPatjuh (Colorado) were able to make it State Don. We witnessed seven State Don promotions this week, an incredible high amount. It was time to have a talk with Mika about the reduction of the rank requirements. Why did this happen and what are the consequences of this major update?

According to Mika the rank requirements were lowered to ‘stimulate the game activity and to try and keep the game fun to play for everyone’. We asked him how the reduction of the rank requirements stimulates the game activity. Mika was so kind to state his opinion: ‘My thoughts behind it are that making it easier to rank means that player will see results of their efforts faster, which means that it would be more satisfying to play. It is also easier to start over should you die if you know that ranking is easier than it used to be in the past’. Fair enough, but we wanted to know the impact of these changes. It is official easier to rank now, but how much easier? Unfortunately Mika was not able to give a question on that answer, which means it is your job to find that out! Finally we asked Mika if there were any more updates planned. As we all know the Crew Feature is yet to come. Mika stated: ‘Sky just stated on the Game Forum he is planning to adapt the current crew feature a little to keep it more interesting, so that would be one thing that he has planned. And I am just now discussing something else with him which is related to Bootlegging and will hopefully turn out to be useful and fun as well’. That is all the inside information we could get, thank you Mika!

The reduction of the rank requirements is a big change. The impact of this change is still unknown, but it is clear that ranking is a lot easier. The Buzz will have a close look at the new rank requirements and you might read an interesting article about this matter again. For now we’d like to congratulate all the promoted State Dons for their incredible accomplishment. A pity that the accomplishment feature is still not here, because I believe it is definitely worth a big, BIG reward.
