Updates... Updates... Updates! IamNaamloos

Over the years Bootleggers has changed a lot. The population has gone from roughly 1,500 members online to roughly 150 nowadays. Not to mention the layout and the design; both have changed. In this article I will share my opinion of the latest features and updates.

First off all we start with the new Graveyard feature. This is a way to pay your last respect to everyone that has died. Also this is a way to see if some people are liked or disliked by the BL community. So if you look at it that way, it's more a Hall of Fame or Hall of Shame to be honest. It also means that the endless amount of topics in the Game Forum are gone. Personally, I think it's a rather good addition, because the forums were spammed with R.I.P topics which on one hand is good as people wanted to pay their last respects, but on the other hand was a bit ''too much'' sometimes.

Then another big update in my eyes is the one where State Dons get a cut of purchases of the cashier transactions made in thier city. Is this a good thing? Don't they have enough advantages already once achieving the rank of State Don? Well here is how I see it! I believe that it's not fair on one hand as they already achieved a nice rank which is a lot harder to kill for people. On the other hand I see it as a reward for their hard work into the game to actually achieving the rank of State Don. On top of that is the advantage of the Nation Don who gets a cut from all purchases in every country. Is that a little too much? In my eyes; yes, too much! Alright, the current Nation Don worked hard on achieving the rank of Nation Don, but let him choose a state to get money from instead of all?!

Let's go to a whole other subject: Bullet production reduce! This is a total useless update if you ask me. Why reduce the bullet amount? Just so there are less bullets in the current Bullet Factories? Well, I can see it as a good thing at that point, but now people do have less bullets to buy, meaning it takes longer to shoot back for a crew or an individual. This doesn't really takes the game to a new level. To be more exact, in my eyes it only goes down. On the other hand, the Bullet Factories were overstocked a while back, so it's a good thing for that part and I believe that part only!

About all the colors now on the states page is really one thing to say; it looks nice, but was it actually needed? Every time I log in I directly go to the states page to hide the colors again as it really hurts my eyes every time I look at it with all those colors. A thing that did turn out good on the states page is the wealth of the roulette owners. You can now see more easy what the wealth of every roulette owner is, so they are not able to "hide" their wealth status anymore.

But what is the biggest update so far you ask me? The gym levels and times to train your gun if you would ask me and why? Well it took a long time to even get a Thompson fully trained, meaning that shooting back when your crew is wiped also took a long time. I don't think that this system always works for the good as good "wars" are not really happening at the moment on Bootleggers, compared to the old days. It was a good thing at the start of the reset though as people could not just start shooting each other for big properties. But now at this point of the game when a crew does get wiped, it's hard for them to shoot back within a week. This does makes it a lot more fun as new crews pop out of the ground often. Which gives new leaders a chance to let the people of Bootleggers know that they are able to actual run a successful crew.

Conclusion?! A lot of updates are being for the good, some for the bad and some just for the fun of it. But in the end I do believe that it made Bootleggers a more fun game to play, only thing we need now is more active players playing Bootleggers!
