Two weeks ago I posted a little topic in the Game forum and within 5 minutes my message alert sounded several times. The first user was our lovely picmaker AlexanderZuis. He stated: "Well there is a thing that really annoys me here on Bootleggers. It is the new CAPTCHA. I'm a picture maker and I look on players profile over 100 times per day. Why do I have to write a CAPTCHA to view players profiles? I guess we shouldn't have to do that. As I don't do crimes or GTA or anything, I only make pictures and play keno. Whilst playing keno I need to check up the holder profile and BOOM! I have to write a CAPTCHA for gambling. This is really f****d up. Sometimes the new CAPTCHA is really hard to read. There are some words no one can understand without a dictionary at hand. Furthermore there are too many players talking about the new CAPTCHA. In my opinion it is a big FAIL to the BL community."
Well, what about my opinion of this? My two cents: Ok I have to balance this. Yes I agree at times the CAPTCHA can be annoying. Especially on a bust streak but it is there for a reason. The reason is to enhance our experience by stopping scripters or cheaters from gaining an unfair advantage by exploiting the game. If you remember we had a similar script check system in place before and I don't remember half the commotion about that. Why is this different? Maybe because it looks different, maybe not. But it is here to help us as much as it may be annoying.
"Ring Ring" My message alert sounded again. This time is was the medical DrDoom. His feelings were: "The thing that annoys me the most is that when you own a casino and bank some your profits then you get other players calling you a banker. This the most annoying because when the player is gambling and they win your money surely that's the same principle as banking? The casino owner takes that risk, surely he should be able to bank some profit? Not all but some off it. Like myself I like banking what I paid for my casino so I eventually don't lose out on everything''. I have slight experience is this field so I responded: "Yes, but I understand your point. Having being a casino holder in the past it's annoying to maybe have a huge profit and then it be wiped out. I think you should have a limit in between bets to benefit casino owners but during an active bet you can't bank. What, if any is your opinion on my above suggestion''? DrDoom thought and replied: "If a few players are playing on your casino then I'd say it's pretty cool to bank as they players would be trying to win each others moneys but obviously due not many players it's usually just one person or two at the most. I'd say you have to use your common sense on when the right time to do it."
Once again, my two cents: Ok this is going to be quite controversial. Casino holders should bank when profit is high. Reason being, in reality the house always wins and Bootleggers is no different. If the idea was for the player to always win the odds would be lowered and the casinos would be less attractive for players to hold. As they know they would just loose their money. If you don't like casinos banking it's simple, don't gamble on their casino. All you are doing is giving them more reason to do what you hate them doing.
