This week the Game Forum had plenty of topics regarding a possible exploit. Various players noticed a huge increase of the total in-game money. It was way more than the 3% interest rate of the total money in the Federal Bank, which means something was going on. There are several explanations (possibilities) for such an increase of the total in-game money. The first possibility is that a lot players are winning on War, the casino feature. Since the maximum bet is only $20,000 that possibility is not very likely. Another possibility is that players are converting large amounts of points into cash. The third possibility is more shocking; there is an exploit, also known as a cheat to get money. Time for the Buzz to start an investigation!
At the moment of writing this article, the Elite Guard has not created any topic at the Game Forum. That means it is not official that an exploit has been found. We contacted the Elite Guard, however they had no information to share with us. A pity, but the Buzz had another look at the Game Forum. There were various rumours that there was an exploit at the Slots page. It made sense, because two Slots owners were banned (SuperDupe and LOwnage). SuperDupe is still banned, however LOwnage got unbanned. We had a look at the profile of LOwnage and noticed the following quote:

Hello,
As BSF2000 concluded his investigation into your account it has been established that you were not involved with the introduction of large amounts of money into the game.
We deeply apologize for the ban and its duration. However, we felt it was necessary for the security of the game. As part of our apology, no money has been removed from your account.
We thank you for your patience and for your confidence in us during the appeal.
Happy gaming!

An interesting message, because according to that message BSF2000 was personally investigating the possible exploit. A few days later the Slots page even got disabled, with the reason: Routine maintenance. Since the Elite Guard did not inform the community, this ‘exploit’ is still a rumour, however if BSF2000 is personally investigating a ban, something is definitely going on. The Buzz continued the investigation and received an interesting graph of an anonymous player. The graph illustrated the total in-game money of the past four weeks:
Since the graph illustrates the total in-game money of four weeks there are various increases and decreases because of various shootings. If you have a closer look at the right side of the graph, you can see the total in-game money is slowly increasing, but at the end it significantly increases. This is also illustrated at the graph which is available at the statistics page. This could be the proof of a possible exploit, but once again this is a big speculation. The Buzz truly hopes the Elite Guard will inform the community about this matter as soon as possible, because at this moment there is a lot confusion.
If there is indeed an exploit, the game might witness a roll back. As you might know, Bootleggers has a daily back up. If the game is being ‘rolled back’, you will lose everything you earned these days and own the same properties as a few days ago. How many days? That depends on the length of the roll back. Unfortunately it is not our call to determine the length of this roll back. Actually, if an exploit was used it is not even sure that a roll back occurs. We at the Buzz are aware that you have a lot questions, but so do we. All we can do now is wait for a reply of the Elite Guard.
