My opinion about this week was that it wouldn’t be a very interesting week. A few hours after I said this we witnessed a killing spree by only one person making a hit on one of the top crews on statistics page; Padrinos Palace. We at the Buzz saw it happening from the first dead account until the final death of the shooter responsible for filling up the graveyard.
During the shooting it became clear that the one responsible for it wore the name of ProbablyAFK and it didn’t take look for the Buzz to get an interview with him. After the shootings he kindly replied that was willing to share his story with the Bootleggers community, so I asked him the obvious question if he belonged to a group or underground crew on which he replied: “I do belong to an UG crew actually. I'm the founder and boss of the Fernando Torres Fan Club. We felt it was time to hit the stats and we wanted a BF as well, so we went for it”. When I asked him if he had any specific reasons why he tried to wipe Padrinos Palace of the statistics page his answer was: “There were so many, it’s hard to pick just one. PP had a crew and a BF, they're as good a target as any. They also had a State Don who seemed very eager to rank that far. It all points in only one direction. Why them and not another crew is simple as well. JBP are no threat to anyone, so might as well let them be. Phoenix guys are cool, never treat anyone like shit, then there's PP. Most of them are probably nice guys but that Alan guy really got on our tits charging people to OC with him, racing to Sdon. Act like a bitch get shot like a bitch.” After the shooting it became clear that Padrinos Palace didn’t get wiped of the statistics page but that there was still one lady godfather alive by the name of GothicPrincess so I asked him if anything went wrong with killing her or if he had a good reason to keep her alive (Seeing that she hadn’t been online for 102 days, it could have been a laugh to let the crew get disbanded for not paying crew taxes). His answer came as a surprise to me because I hadn’t even noticed how it really went down: “I was trying to drop the crew, but they recruited her. She must have been on the applicants page for months. It's alright, one of my members will probably wipe the crew soon after they've recruited some more guys I guess”. So I think we can safely say it wasn’t planned at all to keep her alive, but well played by Padrinos Palace. I then asked him if he wanted to share how much funds he used for the killing spree when he replied: “I'm not sure how many bullets I used. I know I had a bit more than 350k. I might have used 15k points, but I don't really keep tabs on my points page, I have plenty. Searches must have cost around 30-35 mil I guess.”
After my interview with ProbablyAFK I then went over to Padrinos Palace in search for Radium, their crew boss. His new name being Potassium he told us: “Well from what I gather the main problem was with 2 members of our crew. This is a real shame because I try to be honest and approachable. If anyone has an issue I always make sure it's fixed and I'm sure there is a number of players that know this to be true. I have been told that he worked alone as he apparently has a poor opinion of both MW and TF. Either way, he used a lot of resources which could have been used for other things if we had resolved this issue. I guess I have to look into the situation that has led to this unfortunate end so we can greater understand what happened and how to ensure it doesn't happen again. This is a mafia game and I'd like to congratulate him on a very slick and well executed shooting. Unfortunately it seems that one of the features regarding witness statement verification was not working correctly which meant I couldn't get an automatic search of his location like Sky had previously mentioned was possible.”
When it became clear for everyone that Padrinos Palace wasn’t going to drop, some could’ve expected to see it still go disappear from statistics page in several hours, but this didn’t happen. ProbablyAFK actually told me during the interview that one of his members would finish the job on which he hadn’t succeeded, but this hasn’t happened until now. Does this mean it won’t happen again in the nearby future? ProbablyAFK had this to say: “The Fernando Torres Fan Club is one of the best UG crews around. We're smart. We're not going to have one of us come out into the open to make 1 or 2 kills. We have plenty resources, so if they recruit more people to make it worthwile, we'll hit them again when they least expect it”.
An inside story about the wipe on Padrinos Palace who didn't lose their crew spot or bullet factory. One could say that the only thing they lost is their rank and this is something which no one should get attached to here on Bootleggers, since you'll never know when to kiss your sweet high ranked account goodbye. At the time of this publishment, Padrinos Palace is again up and running with 28 living members, all ranking like crazy so it would take a killer alot of bullets to try and wipe them again. All we can do is wait for the Fernando Torres Fan Club to show his might!
