The Bootleggers Buzz, the one and only Bootleggers newspaper and it is here for quite a long time now. These days a lot people claim that joining the Buzz is the perfect way to become a Help Desk Operator. Maybe, but the Bootleggers Buzz is way more. It is a team effort and each Sunday the entire team delivers a fantastic newspaper written by players who are willing to contribute their time in a positive way. The Buzz Team is a group of friends who are trying to inform you about the latest events on Bootleggers and trying to entertain you by writing columns. More than one year ago I joined the Buzz in order to entertain you by writing articles.
I believe I am pretty active on Bootleggers and I used to be very involved in a lot events. I had a lot players from various crews on MSN & Skype, which resulted in a lot knowledge about what exactly was going on. The last weeks I received multiple messages about the fact that I was biased and ‘made things up’. Believe it or not, but I never ever made up something for the Bootleggers Buzz. When I was writing about a certain person or crew I always tried to contact that specific person to verify a certain rumour. My sincerest apologies to all the persons and crews who were involved by any misunderstandings or errors I wrote during my period as a Buzz Editor. For the record, these ‘multiple messages’ have nothing to do with my resignation. I believe I lost the spirit as Buzz Editor. When I accepted the job as Buzz Editor I made an agreement with myself; if I lost the interest of the job I would resign.
Maybe it is a surprise to see my resignation ‘speech’, but I have planned it for quite a few weeks. I had a great time as Buzz Editor, but I believe it is time to pass this very special position. Leading the Buzz Team was a great experience and I have learned a lot. I made some great friends and I met some fantastic players who truly showed their dedication. This great period would not have been possible without the help of many players. I believe these players definitely deserve some appreciation.
First of all I’d like to thank Poison, the previous Buzz Editor, for accepting me as a Buzz Writer. Without him I would never have been part of the Buzz Team. I’d also like to thank the Elite Guard for promoting me to Buzz Editor. Again, it was a great experience and I truly appreciate all the confidence you guys gave me. Next I’d like to thank the Bootleggers Community. During my time as a Buzz Editor I received hundreds of messages with a lot appreciation, but also with some constructive feedback. I truly believe the quality of the Bootleggers Buzz increased because of these messages, thank you very much.
There is one special group of players who definitely deserves a very, very big thank you; The Buzz Writers. The Bootleggers Buzz would have been nowhere without the previous and current Buzz Writers. At one point during my period as a Buzz Editor we had an extremely small team, but as you can see, the Bootleggers Buzz is still here. Without the Buzz Writers this would not have happened. I’d like to thank all the current and previous Buzz Writers for their dedication and extremely hard work. You guys are absolutely amazing, really.
Finally, I’d like to wish the new Editor; Dalton the best of luck with his new position. Dalton has only been a writer for a short period, however I believe he will do an amazing job.
