This week we saw some “random” shootings(for lack of a better name) again, and time after time the hate flows into the forums, and there's a lot of bickering. One side claiming they are just playing the game, the other saying it is ruining the game. But what is the true problem?
The true problem is that playing the game, ruins it. For the parties involved in the random shootings, it is in their genuine best interest. They have all the money and the power, and this is the best defense they have against losing it. Therefor: the shootings aren't truely random. However it does ruin the game, many people have quit over this, people I know, people I don't know. After all: why play on? All you can do is rank to rboss, maybe gather 10 million, and then die, and rinse n repeat. Unless you can somehow get your pleasure out of the forums,gambling or perhaps even busting, there is little this game has to offer anymore.
The problem is the fact that this is the only way for those crews to stay in power. You really dont know who your enemies are and you dont want anyone else to get the power you do. God knows they might start shooting. So its best to keep them down, for at most they can now kill 2 or 3 by the time they finally just manage to get to GF. And odds are you wont hit any of the people that shot you. And that is the other part of the problem, for by far the most part its UG crews doing the shootings. A big fix to this may have been possible with the long awaited, and anounced, crew update, make it more viable for crews not to be UG, then the shootings will be much more dangerous as 10 people rankin to rboss, and being able to kill just 2 players a person still can do a lot of damage And there is the core of the problem. It is not the crews randomly shooting, it is the mods forcing them to as it's their best method towards victory.
The way to win has been discovered, used, and the game has been won. But since mods aren't ending(reset) or changing the rules(updates). The current way will just drag on. So don't be angry with TF, Asura, or whoever shot you for “random” reasons. They just want to claim their earned victory. be angry with the game's mods for forcing them to use this tactic to stay ahead.
