This week we went Behind the Name of Firebird. Here is the interview.
What is your real first name, age and where are you from?
Conal, 20, Liverpool UK.
How did you come up with your username?
Love the phoenix, always wanted one as a tattoo so it’s stuck for the last few rounds.
How long have you played Bootleggers for?
On and off since around 2004, a lot more over the last three resets though.
When you play Bootleggers where are you most often?
Split between the train to university and at home.
Right now, what is to your immediate right?
My pimped Xbox 360 controller.
In what way is it pimped?
I dismantled it, sprayed it neon green and changed the buttons, triggers, bumpers and bow tie for orange ones.Also tried to make the buttons light up but that was a failed endeavour... Amazing it still works to be honest, I soldered it to death.
Sounds great. Are you a big Xbox Live gamer?
I spend too much time on there. It's FIFA's fault for making too good a game... yeah that's my excuse.
You mentioned being university, what are you studying?
I study Pharmacy at the University of Central Lancashire. Going to be a legal drug dealer.
Smooth move. How long until you graduate?
Another two year after this one. At the half way point and not killed anyone yet so it's looking good at the moment.
What is the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to you?
Probably in school in geography, when a prefect came in and asked for a Carol (instead of Conal)... It was a long walk to the door and I never lived that down.
Do you do any party tricks? Can you do anything that is regarded as strange or brilliant?
Not really, though I freak people out with how well I can do the Hannibal Lecter tongue slither from silence of the lambs.
That definitely counts as a party tricky. So, if we go back onto the subject of Bootleggers, what is your favourite game feature?
Been the Stock Market recently. Though I’ve not had chance to try out the Kill feature yet.
Is there any particular feature that you dislike?
I reckon the gym has been a bit of a kill joy. I know it's stopping dupe armies but it's going to slow down crew wars and retaliations which ain't cool.
Are there any features that you miss?
I know it was useless but I liked establishments... In the words of Stewie Griffin: It’s good to have land. Hopefully BSF can get them remodelled and put in again.
If you would send a message directly to BSF what would it say?
Give the people what they want... Less resets, more blood. Get on it, now.
