Of all the many scams the games players encounter, perhaps the most expensive is Crew sales. As there is no inbuilt way to safely transfer Crew ownership in exchange for points, the alternative depends on the honesty of both participants. The buyer needs to send the seller some points, and the seller needs to accept the buyer in to the spot, and transfer ownership. At either stage, one party can screw over the other, and leave their target thousands of points poorer. So how can you safely and securely buy or sell a Crew spot from another player?

First we confirm with both buyer and seller the agreed price of the spot, be it points or cash. After checking that both agree to the amount, the buyer sends the points or cash to us. We then use our special super powers to make them the Crew owner, and then send the points or cash to the seller. Both parties get the amount they agreed to, and neither has the chance to scam the other.
Of course there are still risks. After a transfer of ownership, the seller remains in the Crew, and the buyer has the ability to hard kick all members. To avoid this, the seller should soft kick all members who wish to leave. Unfortunately, the seller may still be susceptible to being hard kicked, but in every aspect of life there is risk, and that's still true of Bootleggers. You've just got to hope that you're dealing with a fair person.
