COLUMN: A Dilemma Arrived ShyGuilty

So, you are a Legendary Godfather with a M1919 Browning .30 Cal and a Cadillac V16 armoured limousine. Your stamina is level 40 and you were a few Organized Crimes away from reaching Don. *BANG*, you have been killed. With a lot frustration you create a new account and you try to find the username of your killer. Hell yeah, someone is selling a 90% witness statement. You start the escrow and buy your witness statement. A few seconds later the escrow is finished. You check out the kill page and select the page ‘Witness’. You see the name of your killer and you have absolutely no idea who that guy/girl is. You click on his/her name to check out the profile; your killer is banned. You got killed by a cheater.

Being killed by a cheater sucks. Fortunately there are rules on Bootleggers which make it possible that you get ‘boosted’. For the record, you only get boosted when your killer gets an immediate permanent ban and when his/her appeal is declined. Three temporary bans also result in a permanent ban, but that means you do not get boosted. Anyway, when your killer gets immediate permanent banned your next account will have the same experience, money, weapon, protection, bullets and gymnasium statistics as your previous account. A very interesting rule and this week we witnessed a very interesting event.

Our former Nation Don, R2D2, was killed by CoatHangaStrangla. The next day we already witnessed a new Nation Don; Shitney_. Now this is the part where it becomes interesting. In that time the killer of R2D2, CoatHangaStrangla, was banned. An immediate permanent ban would mean that the next account of R2D2 would get boosted, which means R2D2 would be promoted to Nation Don again. But what about Shitney_? Two Nation Dons is simply impossible. What was going to happen now? Well, nothing was going happen. Why? Pretty simple, because CoatHangaStrangla’s appeal was granted and therefore the next account of R2D2 was not going to get boosted. But what if CoatHangaStrangla’s appeal was NOT granted? We at the Buzz had a thought about this matter and it did not took a lot time before we witnessed the first topic on the Game Forum about this interesting event.

C3P0, the next account of R2D2, created the topic on the Game Forum asking what was going to happen with his account. For the record, nothing was going to happen since CoatHangaStrangla was unbanned, but let’s pretend CoatHangaStrangla is still banned for the sake of this article. So, basically the question was; what was going to happen with Shitney_ and C3P0? Shitney_ demoted to State Don and C3P0 promoted to Nation Don? Rob_Stark posted in the topic with the following solution: ‘‘If it was me you would get the stats of a Nation Don but be a State Don until Shitney_ dies. Then you would be Nation Don because you are next in line’’. An interesting solution, however personally I do not agree with it. I would demote Shitney_ to State Don and boost C3P0 to Nation Don. Why you ask? He lost his position as Nation Don due a cheating player. It is extremely important to show all players that cheating on Bootleggers is unacceptable. Time for a seriously overstated question; what would happen if all State Don positions were taken, right after Shitney_ accepted the Nation Don invite? My solution and the solution of Rob_Stark would not have been possible. Of course there are plenty of possible solutions to prevent these questions. When a Nation Don has been killed, the Elite Guard has, for example, two days to check the account of the killer. If the killer’s account is clean, the next Nation Don can arrive. Same story for the State Dons.

The Buzz tried to contact the Elite Guard about this matter, but unfortunately they were too busy in real life to give an explanation of the outcome of this interesting discussion. Do you also have a possibility of this interesting matter? Do you agree with the above stated possibilities or do you definitely disagree? Post your opinion below and share your thoughts!
