COLUMN: How to revive bootlegging Liliana6

As the name of the game suggests should be buying and selling alcohol, or bootlegging as it is known in the trade. However, in recent months this vital part of the game is being ignored whilst it is sat in the corner gathering dust and being surrounded by cobwebs people are still wondering how the best way to make money. We at the Buzz believe that with a few changes to what is already a great feature bootlegging could once again become an integral part of the game.

Our first suggestion may be seen as a big change which could take months or maybe even years to be integrated, could be that a mass bootlegging system in the style of organised crime where four people could get a larger amount of money for a larger bootlegging run. For example the group of four could include a driver to be able to drive across the state borders with a trunk load of booze perhaps 500 crates which the negotiator had helped haggle down, which makes negotiating booze a much more lucrative business. Whilst at the border a lookout and a person creating a distraction wait until the other two are ready so that they can get away without any problems from the police. Then when back once again trying to sell the loot selling them at a higher price once again with the negotiator taking charge to get the best deal. Once this had been done everyone would get a percentage as set by the leader which could have been any of the positions. We were not able to work out the finer details as to how this would work but it could be an interesting to interest people into the idea of bootlegging once more.

Another suggestion that was made was that you could take a slower way to travel in order to be able to carry even more crates. Buying a car meaning that perhaps a Starpegasus would give you an extra ten crate carrying capacity ranking further up to a Duesenberg could be able to hold another 80 crates. However with this idea it would mean that travelling would take longer. Perhaps it could take 10 minutes for you to actually travel rather than it being instantaneous.

The final suggestion was that there should be shortages in states in which certain types of alcohol is bought often and a surplice of booze in states where it a lot of the time. For example a very common booze run is buying cognac in Michigan and then travelling to Illinois to sell it. However with our suggestion it would mean that when a lot of people had bought cognac it would cause the prices to rise to show that there is now a shortage in that state, whereas in Illinois prices would have dropped due to the surplice of that particular type of alcohol.

These are just some of the ideas that have been thrown about we would love to hear what your ideas are in the comments!
