A reinstated pot head! iCypha

With the latest addition to the Help Desk Operators, we caught up with P0THEAD_ to find out a little bit more about his latest promotion, and find out what his colleagues think of him being given this position again. When asking P0THEAD_ why he left in the first place, he explained to us that he didn't have the time for Bootleggers at the time. The reason for this was due to a lot going on with work and his children so was unable to dedicate the time needed. Surely having to drop out because of work commitments and being a family man would mean he wouldn't have the same free time again, so when asking this, he replied, "I came back because the game was still in need of another Help Desk Operator from the US/Canadian time zones. Yes things have calmed down some. I still don't have all the time in the world but I have more then I did that is for sure. Obviously there must be something good about being a Help Desk Operator, otherwise he wouldn't have re-applied for the position, so how does it feel for a normal every day player to be a Help Desk Operator? "Doesn't really feel any different then a normal player honestly. We still play the game as everyone else does. Not really much of any benefits to being a Help Desk Operator.. You stand out like a sore thumb on the Users Online and have a few extra things to do to help keep you busy." P0THEAD_ informed us. In a previous issue of The Buzz, Issue 39, there was talk of whether he would like to be a Moderator one day. P0THEAD_ said that someday he would be interested in it but at the moment he isn't. He also feels there are a couple of other Help Desk Operators which would be better suited to the Moderator position before himself.

To wrap up our interview, I wanted to know what his plans were for the future as a Help Desk Operator and what advice would he give to anyone out there wanting to become one themselves. He just wanted to simply help out when and where ever he can, and if you fancy yourself as a Help Desk Operator, "be helpful in the forums, don't get yourself muted/banned all the time and don't be a troll. You never know when the Moderators are watching."

We also caught up with Aldarion and RatFaceRay__ to get their views on this within the community of the Elite Guard. When asked how our Moderator felt about P0THEAD_ being given the Help Desk Operator position again he said they were sad to see him leave earlier in the round and the circumstances were unfortunate but are very happy to see him back. When asked about the circumstances I was assured that it was nothing game related (performance or activity) and he could not comment on it. When asking how the Elite Guard approached P0THEAD_ for this position, I was told that he bootmailed Aldarion on conditions of taking Help Desk Operators who left earlier back, and Mika then had a conversation with P0THEAD_ regarding his position where he was asked if he would like to re-take his position on the Help Desk. Some may question, why P0THEAD_, what makes him a better choice over other players? Well we asked this very question to Aldarion, who advised us this is because he is active, has very good in-game knowledge and knows how to deal with stuff in a professional manner, plus they were very satisfied on his performance when he was on the team before. Furthermore, almost everyone in the current team (Elite Guard as well as Help Desk) is from Europe. We wanted to increase our online coverage by selecting someone from a different time zone.

OK, so we have heard from P0THEAD_ himself, a Moderator (Aldarion), so it would be only fair to catch the views of another Help Desk Operator. I approached RatFaceRay__ to see how he felt about P0THEAD_ taking the position back, do they feel they really need another Help Desk Operator and what advice a wise old man such as RatFaceRay__ could provide. Ray being Ray likes to keep things short and sweet, responding I think it is good he is back, as there are times that no other Help Desk Operator is online so he fills that void, and the best advise I could give him is to just take one thing at a time.

Well, there you have it, P0THEAD_ has re-claimed his rightful place as a member of the Help Desk Operators, and everyone seems happy to have him back.
