Behind The Name Daltonnnnn

Each week we at the Buzz interview a random player of Bootleggers. How random? Well, we go to the Users Online, close our eyes and we have a few clicks. Awesome, we know. So, here is the interview of this week! Enjoy!

Hey JohnTheRevelator, thanks for granting me this interview with you about this week's Behind The Name, first of; could you introduce yourself to the Bootleggers community?
My name is John, I live in The Netherlands and I have been playing bootleggers for about 8 years now.

Okay nice to meet you John! What else do you do besides Bootleggers?
Currently I'm doing the study Forensic Sciences, I'm part of the local Life Guard team. So basically I'm studying and swimming.

The local life guard team? Is this for the ocean or a swimming pool?
Currently we are training in the swimming pool, so we can help with events in the town, such as the dutch tradition ''The Sinterklaas Intocht''. We are being trained to save (most of the time) little children who fall in the water and get in a panic mode.
And we are going to train on the beach aswell so its getting more and more exciting to do.

Sounds great to be a part of! Do you have to meet any qualifications to become a part of the Life Guard team?
Just being able to swim is a good start, haha. And basically everything you need to be able to do, is what the instructors will teach you. But being able to swim is the most important part.

Sounds fair that life guards should be able to swim ey! Oke, moving on. You said you are studying Forensic Sciences, what does that mean?
It's the study which after you graduate you are able to work as a Forensic Analyst. Most known example is Abby from NCIS. You are basically becoming a Lab worker at the Forensic Department of the Police.

Wow cool! And would you say the series reflect the real life of a Forensic Analyst?
Not at all. In the series there is a murder at monday, and on tuesday all the investigation work is done, and by the end of wednesday the murderer is found and send to jail.
In real life it takes about 2-3 days to finish the investigation (collecting all samples) and then a few more days at the lab for further investigation.
And series only show murders, but in real life the Forensic Department is called out for Murder/suicides, Burglary, break-ins, fires, and everything which leaves evidence.

I must admit, this really is an interesting profession! Why did you decide to pursue this?
Well as a little kid in elementary school I read something about the forensic department, and since that moment I can't think of doing anything different then that.
Plus it might sound cliché but I love to read comic books, and being in the Forensic/Police you are basically fighting crimes, so it feels like being a ''super hero''. And that's what inspired me aswell. Helping the bad guys get caught.

I understand that you get s superman feeling out of it! And I really think it's neat, but why not become a police officer then if you want to fight crime?
Well I like to be busy with my hands and do the research on stuff. I did pre-education which I graduated as a Microbiologist. So I like doing the research. Always interested in what I might find and how to get to the end of the research.

Seems fair enough, let's move one and talk about your Bootleggers career. What have you accomplished in the past 8 years?
Ooh, let me think. I have had a awesome lot of Establishments when those where still around. Loved and what pretty good in Armwrestling. But most of the 8years in playing Bootleggers I was pretty much the silent guy, just looking around, did a little shootings, but nothing big.

So what has been the ultimate highlight in those past years?
Helping Virtual Reality to their highest point.

You have been a member or a council member of Virtual Reality?
I was a member, but was good friends with Aerius and Ebbie

Oke, you also said you had a lot of establishments, do you wish they would return to the game?
Wishing they will return is something big, but I tought it was a nice addon to the game. Having the chance to own property was really neat. I liked it. Seeing it coming back would be nice, but if it's not it ain't a problem.

Do you have anything on your mind at the moment which you do like to see changed or added to the game?
I like to see Arm Wrestling back, it was good fun and always interesting to see if I could beat the others.

You said you were a pretty good arm wrestler; remember your highest level you ever reached?
I have no idea. Guess it didn’t made much impact to me

Ok, no worries! For how long have you been a La Onda member?
Im being a member from the first moment it got on the stats this round.

That's a very long time! No aspirations on becoming more than 'just' a member?
I was an Council Member from the start, but I took a small step back because im busy with my study. But Everyone still sees me as the Council.

Ok I think we've covered your Bootleggers career so far! Some random questions: Movies or Music?
It's close to a tie, but if I have to choose one, I'll go for music.

Music ey.. What's your favorite song at the moment?
My favorite song at the moment has to be Avenged Sevenfold - Seize the Day.

Good choice! And what is your favorite movie?
That's a tough one, I'm a movie addict as well, with a huge amount of movies at home. And if I have to pick my favorite it will be Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

I have a huge amount of movies, and I watch a few per day (or series) and I can honestly say I have never seen that I have never seen that movie. Fruits or vegetables?
You should definaltly watch that movie, it stars Jason Mewes (Jay) and Kevin Smith (Silent Bob).
I will go with fruits.

Your favorite all time food?
I will go with Lasagna

Hmmm!! Final question John: Where does your username come from? The Revelator part of course.
Origin of the name comes from the Book of Revelation where the author calls himself as John. So they called him John The Revelator.
Later there was a song made after the name. I chose it after hearing the song, and tought it has my name in it and the Revelator part sounds pretty awesome.
And the Revelator part meaning ''One who reveals, especially one who reveals divine will''. Is something which spoke to me. I'm not religious at all but this name just sooths me to be honest.

A name with meaning.. I like that! So, John. I want to thank you very much for your willingness to be featured in the Behind The Name article, and good luck with your education!
No problem, and thank you. I hope you had a good time doing the interview, I did.
