The Kill feature is one of the most important features of Bootleggers. This means the Private Investigator feature is just as important as the Kill feature. I believe the Private Investigator feature can be used for way more things than just searching players and receiving/verifying witness statements. I had some interesting conversations with many players of Bootleggers and in this article I’d like to share their, and my, thoughts about the Private Investigator feature. What if you were able to hire a Private Investigator to check out someone’s money in his/her federal bank? What about the ability to check the amount of bullets of a certain player? Pretty drastic changes, but I believe it definitely improves the game play of Bootleggers. Let’s have a look!
Playing underground is awesome. You bank a fancy amount of money and if you are bored you are stocking some bullets in order for a big shooting. You always have around $500,000 on hand, to make you less suspicious. Each day you receive approximately 3% interest and when you are finished with banking you buy some points. After that you kill a crew or some random players, hoping that you kill a banker or underground shooter. It is a fact that a lot of innocent players are being killed in those random shootings. According to many players, Moderators included, being killed is part of Bootleggers. You can like or dislike random killings, but what if players were able to hire a Private Investigator to check out someone’s money in his/her federal bank? Of course, this service has to be expensive, because this would be an excellent way of an effective shooting. The results of such a change? Less random shootings, but definitely more effective shootings.
Same story, but this time regarding the amount of bullets. What if players were able to hire a Private Investigator who is able to see how many bullets you have on hand? If such a change is introduced, less players will stock bullets. If someone finds out that you are actively buying bullets, they might kill you. So, what do you do to prevent this? Exactly, you convert your points into bullets just before your shooting. The result? Bullet factories become less useful and more players will be using points to shoot. So, how do you get those points? If you want to get a fancy amount of points, you need to bank a nice amount of money. In combination with the ability to check out someone’s money in the federal bank, this results in a very interesting game-play.
The Private Investigator feature is important, very important. It is a feature with great potential and there are plenty of ideas to improve this feature. What if there is a chance that a target spots a Private Investigator and therefore the ‘service’ fails? Or what if a Private Investigator can see who your friends and enemies are? What about the ability to check previous names? Interesting questions, which are definitely worth a discussion. Do you have a nice suggestion regarding this interesting feature? Do you disagree or agree with this column? We would really appreciate some fancy responses. Let us know by commenting below and let’s have a good old feature discussion!
