This is an old feature now. By no means is it the most used, but is it even used at all? At one time or another they have been popular to play. They are a good way to pass time if you are completing mission four.
But how could they be improved in order to attract more players? Or should they be scrapped all together? Does anyone even notice them or use them whilst in hospital or the shooting range?
The first suggestion we have to help attract more players is a save option. Why not be able to save your Tetris game once your four minutes are up in jail so you can make another attempt and continue? Yes you could have a second tab open on your web browser for this option. But what if you need to go? But you have a high score? Why not be able to save your game and reload it on your work/school computer? This could make it more desirable to play them!
Another idea is for new games to crop up. The same games list has been used for a long time and they come straight from another site which hosts them. But that site has many games! So why only this six? If the games varied on a week by week basis then we could see more players using them!
Another suggestion is a weekly and monthly high score table, as well as all time (for the duration of the round!). By now the high scores are very hard to beat so even if you earn a personal best you have no hope of being top. But if you could be top for the week, or even the month, you can feel good. Achievements could even be added based upon the high score table and even forum games such as jail bust parties. Imagine a Pac Man party, for one hour you compete with other players and the highest scorer wins a prize? Or even a head to head game such as Uno!
But we also realise that there are many other features which need to be coded first. So in order to ensure those happen and these games aren't prioritised, they could just be removed? We could have an option for watching a short youtube video whilst in jail or even a unique jail forum just for people in jail/ hospital/shooting range with you! On the latter ones it could give you a unique name, such as mr. A. It wouldn't be too hard to code either!
Whatever happens, something needs to be done to improve this outdated feature. Entertainment whilst in Jail, considering that the forums have fewer and fewer posters every day (usually because any topics these days attract trolls so serious conversations and debates cannot easily be held) being in jail for long periods of time is rather dull! Even if something cannot be done immediately, perhaps in the future we will see this aspect of the game changed for the better! As always, good luck and happy ranking!
