Tenth year anniversary; pt. 2 Daltonv7

Ten years ago it was just some idea by a bunch of people on an external forum. Who would have guessed it would have become the game it is today. Bootleggers has known some up and downs over the years and still exists today. Hope it stays alive and kicking for the next ten years! To celebrate this anniversary, we were awarded by several events throughout the game.

The first day we were awarded with free bullets while traveling, BSF2000 also ordered a couple of high-speed trains because the timers were reduced a third of the original travelling speed. The second day we got awarded with free money while gambling on war and keno. 2004 was the year these two options got introduced to the community. 2005 was the first year Bootleggers won Game of the Month on MPOGD thanks to players voting. This day you received bullets for doing crimes, stealing cars, and working out. People who remember these votes might also remember that we were awarded bullets for doing so. In 2006 Arm Wrestling had an unfortunate exploit, allowing players to generate large amounts of cash. To honor this since removed feature, you received cash when working out, as well as halved timers at the Gymnasium. 2007 was the year the State and Nation Don rank was introduced, in honor of this introduction, as well as the large amount of Crimes and Organized Crimes required to reach these ranks, Organized Crime timers have been halved and Crimes will earn you addition experience.

In 2008, the first Russian Roulette of Bootleggers was hosted. Establishments saw the return of safe houses along with adjustments to their land value. To commemorate the drastic changes of equity values both around the world and within the game during 2008, the money stolen from vaults in an Organized Crime had been increased. In 2009, another feature was presented: The Stock Market. To commemorate the this year, you would have received a cash prize for purchasing stock at the Stock Market every 10 minutes

2010 was the year that the newest version of Crimes got released. You would have received several prizes for committing crimes, halved crime timers and more experience for committing these crimes. 2011 and 2012 were the years account boosting was implemented into the game. Round 7 began which included the release of new Missions, updated Kill, updated Private Investigators, updated Bootlegging, and the Gymnasium. To commemorate the continued progress of Bootleggers and your own account, Organized Crimes would have given you 3x's their normal experience.

And then we reached 2013, as you will see the final day we were awarded with halved organized crime timers, higher vaults and a triple amount of experience. This resulted in many things. One of these is that Deusenberg prices went skyrocketing because there simply weren’t any around. So many people were resetting there times and doing organized crimes that this resulted in normal prized Deusenbergs to be sold out. I personally paid around 100k-300k for the Deusenbergs bought that day. Another result of this was that many people were ranking rapidly, making it possible for a respectable boss to reach legendary godfather in 24 hours by doing just 7 organized crimes!

Also 5 important rank ups occurred, we welcome MaggiePeyton, Shinji, chads, spiros and Bentmetalv5 as the new State Dons on the states page, and congratulations to DevillSpawN for becoming our newest Nation Don!

What would this article be without any statistics, provided by our very own: Aldarion!

It’s not a hard thing to figure out that on the 27th of September, this chart would peak, but over 350 promotions in one day? Wow! This doesn’t even count the ranks which are skipped at the bottom, because it was also possible during these days to rank from a scum to a hitman in one organized crime.

Of course you will see two days having more of an organized crime vault then other days. On the 23rd of September you will see that the total organized crime vault had been over 200 mil, where normally this is round 30-35 million. On the 27th of September, you will see that it has actually hit over 500 million vault money! That’s huge because this was around 1/24th of the total in game money on that day.

And on this chart you can see that because of these ten crazy days to celebrate the tenth year anniversary, the total game money has risen a lot. Up to 1,5 billion dollars has made it into Bootleggers because of these events, but thanks to yesterday’s shooting where 98 accounts died, the chart shows a decrease in money on the 29th of September.

So this is how we celebrated the tenth year anniversary of Bootleggers. I have enjoyed myself during the past 7-8 years I’ve been walking in and out on this game, and I’m happy to see that BSF2000 has become more active towards the community, I think this is a positive thing which will also have positive results regarding keeping players on the game. Let’s see what the next ten years has in store for us!
