$1.8 billion of the games money is tied up within the Swiss Bank feature. This counts for fourteen percent of all the money which exists within the game. So clearly this is a feature being used. But are you using it? If so, are you using it right?
That is a hard question to answer. There is no hard and fast rule as to the right way to use this feature! But we at the Buzz firmly believe that this feature should be used more often. For those of you that do not know how the feature works, you go to the page and open an Account. You then need to save the account number and pin number given to you as there is no way to recover these if lost. Then you can deposit as much money as you would like to, as can anyone else who isn't on your family accounts list. Only someone with the pin number can access the total balance and the amount of money inside so it is very secure to give away the Account number for people to donate to your bank account if you wish them too!
How many times have you been shot? When shot and you're trying to find money for an Organized Crime, do you sell points? Or rely on money from a fellow crew mate who had spare cash? You shouldn't have to. The Swiss Bank feature is designed for this purpose! If you deposit money into an account it is there and ready for speedy access when you need a bit of extra cash. I personally deposit all profits from my Organized Crimes into my Swiss account until it reaches $1 million so that if I die I am not stuck with nothing. It is a simple and easy method to ensure that after a shooting I have a kick start back into the game.
The downside to this, of course, is that I only receive seven hundred thousand dollars back. Every account I lose three hundred thousand dollars. But it means I never have to sell points. If I sell points I lose ten percent anyway so an extra twenty percent to not have to scour the classifieds and to commit an Organized Crime straight away is well worth it!
But there is another thing that the Swiss Bank can be used for. It could be a crew tax haven. A crew leader can set up a Swiss Bank account and have their members pay a flat fee, once a week, into the account rather than into the crew bank account once it starts becoming full. This way if the crew dies then there is money ready and available for the crew to start back up again when they are Boss rather then having to save up for this money. This could also be done with underground crews so that they can have some funds saved up in order to pay for the many features they need to use. Of course it would be recommended that the crew boss who owns the account should not give out the password.
The final main use of this feature is that some picture makers have a Swiss Bank account and have customers pay into that account in order to cover the costs of the pictures. Not many do this but there are a few out there that just let this account build up for when they need extra cash.
Ever since the update which means that your Swiss Bank account doesn't close after two weeks came out, the Buzz team was watching closely expecting this feature to sky rocket into use. It hasn't taken off massively but has been used a bit more now. It seems an expensive feature when you lose thirty percent but it really can save you a lot of time and effort.
One thought we had for another update of this feature would be to have an interest gain aspect, as there is in the federal bank. It would have to be much smaller, maybe as little as five percent per week and only by not paying in any money per week would it work. Or it could be one percent per day. But it would be an automatically renewing source of money so that if you go on holiday your federal bank money which doesn't get renewed could be put into the Swiss. But of course you would lose thirty percent. This would also be a great way to take money out of the game as people may put more and more in there in order to gain interest long term since the money is always safe! As always, good luck and happy ranking!
