Behind The Name Daltonv7

Hello there Shyguy, last time we spoke was 10 seconds ago and I suddenly realised that a certain someone has celebrated his 1 year anniversary of being an operator on the Help Desk. You know what this means right? Exactly! Interview time, with our former Buzz Editor in this week's Behind The Name.

So Shy, could you introduce yourself to the community? Just as a formality obviously since we all know and hate you already.

It means I deserve some fucking cake. Well, my name is Max, 21 years old and I live in The Netherlands. I work as an Accountant and at Friday I am trying to chill at the University. I'd like to go out with my mates and you can always wake me up for a fancy game of poker.

Some cake? That can be arranged I guess! So Max, it has been a year on the Help Desk now. What were your expections of it in the beginning?
My expectations were negative. When I started as a Help Desk Operator I thought a lot players would hate me. I expected a lot rage messages after I muted someone or moved someone's topic. To be honest, I was pretty wrong. I personally believe not so many players hate me for doing my ''job''. Worth mentioning; this is my 27th account. I'm loved, you see?

Roflmao, your 27th account is it? No wonder you're having a hard time picking a decent name.. Do you have any idea why people like to kill you?
What's wrong with this one? Well, most of the times I am being killed by players related to the underground crew The Family. I dislike most members of this crew and it seems they see me as a threat. Pretty funny, because I kinda stopped playing serious for a very long time.

I was just quoting you there as it was stated on your profile the first few days after creating the account. If they see you as a threat, you must have done something to upset them?
I am responsible, together with a few more players, for several shootings aimed against The Family. It seems they are still mad about that.

Together with a few more? Could you elaborate on that, did the group have a name?
I cannot give out many names, but I was definitely not alone during those shootings. A few times we used the name 'Medellin', but we also used various other names. I can't give out too many details on this matter, sorry.

That's okay! Let's move on to something else; one year as a help desk operator. Could you share some of its ups and downs?
Well, during my time as a Help Desk Operator I made some great friends, which is absolutely amazing. I think the biggest ''down'' is the decreasing state of Bootleggers.

Are you telling me now, that your most glorious moment was when you met some great friends? And I mean the worst thing that has happened to you as an Operator?
There's nothing glorious about being a Help Desk Operator. So yeah, that's my fucking most glorious moment punk. Well, I think the worst thing that has happened as an Operator is that I nearly retired a few weeks ago. Why? Check my answer of the previous question.

You nearly retired? We at the Buzz don't know anything about that! You say the current decreasing state of the game is the reason why you nearly retired, could you elaborate on that a bit more?I mean, what has there been different for the past year, in comparison to other years?
Nearly nothing has been different, which is the problem. The lack of innovation is extremely sad and I lost all my confidence regarding BSF2000's promises. I find it absolutely disrespectful that the Blackjack update is still not launched and the lack of communication is scandalous. For the record, I believe the entire Elite Guard is to blame regarding the lack of communication.

I notice you feel strongly about this Max, and your opinion about BSF2000 has been noted, but how do you mean that the EG is to blame for the lack of communication? Aren't they active in the forums and responsive to bootmails?
The players of Bootleggers are amazing. I believe they have the right to know what kind of updates are coming and most important when. I am fairly sure that the Elite Guard is aware of the upcoming updates including the approx launch date. I find it sad that they don't share these dates.

I know their reasoning behind it, they don't want another Blackjack update all over again. What I mean is, they don't want to promise an update to prevent people getting dissapointed, again. Are you saying that they should share upcoming launch dates with the community?
That's probably the reason and that's pretty sad right? It doesn't work like that in real life, time to grow up. BSF2000 is has to take some responsibility. I believe the Elite Guard has to share more information than at this very moment, which means more than launch dates.

I think it would be better to just make sure not to miss deadlines, instead of simply not using any nor sharing them. What would you change about this current situation if you were given a position as Moderator?
I'm afraid I cannot change a lot as a Moderator, nor can the current Moderators. However, I believe Bootleggers has much to learn regarding customer intimacy. I think the current player base is mainly the group who played for at least five years. New players are leaving after a few hours, which is sad. I think we can prevent those ''leaves'' with some small changes.

You mention small changes to keep new players on Bootleggers, which small changes do you have in mind?
Every proper game has guidelines for new players, as in ''where to start''. I would implement an icon next to the mailbox barrel with some sort of mission. Let new players first commit 25 crimes. After that let them steal a few cars, train some levels in the Gym, etcetera. By doing this, new players will understand the game and they have a motivation to commit crimes/steal cars. BSF2000 tried to do this with the new missions, but I believe those are too confusing for new players.

So, the introduction of bootleggers to new players is something you feel is missing. It would be a good idea though seeing nearly every game has some sort of introduction. Let's continue, what does the future have in store for ShyGuy?
Exactly. The introduction of a game is extremely important, because we don't score very well with advertising. I have no idea about the future, I wish I had. For now I am looking forward to see the upcoming features and I continue writing for the Buzz and answering fancy Help Tickets.

Oke, I think we covered most of your opinions about the help desk and the game, let's talk about some of the wonderful things you did on here as a player. For how long have you been playing Bootleggers and what has been your greatest achievement?
I started playing around 2005, but not very active. I was mainly committing 2 Organized Crimes a day and bank my money. My biggest achievement is pretty hard. I joined some amazing crews and performed a few fancy shootings. I think my biggest achievement is becoming Buzz Editor. At the start of this round I definitely did not expect that.

lol, same here! What is the biggest mistake of your gangster career on Bootleggers?
This interview? Touché. The biggest mistake was getting banned at the start of this round. I am a naughty boy.

Hilarious! Some random stuff alright? Would you prefer to spank Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, or BSF2000?
My favourite part of the interview! Hard one... Miley Cyrus.

The old Miley Cyrus, or the new one?
The Hannah Montana one.

If you could become one particular person for a day, who would you be?
Miley Cyrus

How would you spend your day as Miley Cyrus?
I would be doing things which I cannot mention here.

Probably getting some from Liam Hemsworth.. Thanks Max for answering all my questions, do you have anything you would like to add?
KPOP is awesome.
