Last Call DelPiero

Last week we witnessed crews dropping left right and centre and it seems this trend isn't likely to stop. In the late hours of Tuesday night the trend continued with Designated Drinkers meeting their maker as they were swiftly and abruptly removed from the statistics at the hands of one of the dominating crews of this round; The Family. We at that the Buzz scattered around to find the killer and it wasn't long until we found the culprit behind the kills; Triple aka Erno, one of the many shooters of this infamous crew.

What was the reason behind this massacre? On our quest for the truth we tracked down the co-boss of Designated Drinkers, SIMP_3. We asked SIMP_3 if she had any idea why they were targeted to which she replied that The Family need no real excuse to shoot anyone. She added that; "I was not on and to my knownledge no one else with recruitment rights was on at the time of the shooting. It was first brought to my attention at about 10pm Bootleggers time tuesday that the crew had been wiped. I jumped on but I was already dead and the crew was gone."

"The Family need no real excuse to shoot anyone..."

So with some rapid shooting, Designated Drinkers were promptly sent to graveyard where their deaths could be mourned but what does the future hold for them? With the trend of crew wipes unlikely to stop, could we see a return of Designated Drinkers sooner than expected? SIMP_3 had this to say; "maybe so but The Family doesn't get shot much for kills they have made so I personally would advise people to not hold their breath waiting for it to happen. The crew does have an external forum plus I'm pretty good at keeping in contact with crew members on the game when not on the stats."

Great to hear that they do still keep in contact so we certainly could see a return of that drunken group but who knows? Only time will tell. With that, we thanked SIMP_3 for her time and went on to track down the killer.

With the shootings seemingly calmed down, we approached Triple, hoping it was safe to do so and asked if he would enlighten us as to why The Family wiped Designated Drinkers. Triple stated; "we have no reason to reveal such information, we simply do as we please." A cagey response from The Family, something we have become accustomed to so we asked again in a different way hoping it would trigger a better response. We enquired as to whether this shooting was a personal attack or a crew effort. Triple replied; "That's the mentality the rest of Bootleggers has, not us. There is a reason we have been so successful over the past few years, that has to do with our unity. I'll let you decide which one it was." Triple then went on to say that this shooting was strictly business with a side of personal pleasure.

"With a side of personal pleasure..."

The interview then proceeded with questions about how many resources were used on this shooting and how they were acquired but to no prevail. Triple wasn't inclined to disclose such information but did leave us with one final statement. "We urge the players to remember this is a mafia game, not a place to socialize." So it's very apparent that The Family intend to take advantage of one of the main features of this game; the kill feature.

That ended our interview with Triple and we at that Buzz were no closer to unearthing the reasons behind this wipe. Could we see a return of Designated Drinkers to the statistics or have they had their last pint? Will we see more crew wipes from The Family and if so, who is next? Is the round pretty much over or is there some fight left in others to salvage the round? Many questions raised and hopefully we'll see more unfold in the following weeks. Should things change, we at the Buzz will be here to bring you all the latest as it unfolds?
