Winning the lottery, many people can only dream of it. But for some people this dream became a reality.
I have had an interview with winner of the lottery Fifa15, who won over 10,000,000 in a Bootleggers Lottery.
I also had an interview with HankyPanky who says the Lottery is quite a useless feature.
And last but not least, I’ve had an interview with Aldarion about his opinion on the feature.
We start off with Fifa15 Hi Fifa15, Can you tell me when you won the bootleggers lottery and how much it was? pff cant remember the exact date, but i know it was in the time vatoslocos was still a crew. It was bit more then 10 mil. it was pretty large compared to the other lotterys in that time

What was your first thought when you received the bootmail with the good news? well i bought a pretty big amount of tickets. for like 150k, and when i logged in a saw i had 10 mil on hand. so i knew i won it. The bootmail dissapointed me, had expected it to much more awesome bm
You say the bootmail dissapointed you, what did the bootmail look like? And how would you like the see it? well was just big yellow text with congratulations, would more likely to see an animated bm or something, and maybe even a screen or something that would pop up once you log back in that you won
Haha oke, so it was a bit boring I see! But still, you won a lot of money. The first thing I would do is hit the strip club and spend some of that well earned cash! What did you do with it? well i wish there was a place like a strip club on BL, well i bought some points with it and a casino. Eventually thats also the way i lost my money, got busted on a keno with 3 mil on hand. And lost 5mil in my rlt
Haha, I think many people would have done exactly the same! Last question: How do you think the lottery feature could be improved in the future? well there are lot of different ways to make the lottery more interesting. Like adding a second a third price is already a start. But the way it is now is the simplest way cause it only has 1 winner. If they add the future about matching a few numbers of your ticket for example you can actually set your own lottery numbers.
To conclude, if we really think we have to change the lottery there are lot of ways to do so. But there are not enough players playing BL atm to do that. First they should get more people playing again.

The second interview I had was with HankyPanky. In the forum he posted the following message: “The lottery is like the stock market. I forget it is even there.” Enough reason for me to bootmail HankyPanky and ask for his opinion!
Hi HankyPanky, In the forum you said: "the lottery is a bit like the stock market, you forget it's there". How come you forget about it? It is rarely discussed and the left column of this site is cluttered with crap. I guess I just never even notice it. The only time I really remember it exist is if I get promoted and am given some tickets.
You say you remember the feature only when you get some free tickets. How could the Lottery feature be improved in your opinion? One thing that was a little annoying was that you never know when you lost. You check back a week later and the new lottery is starting again. It would be nice if a weekly bm came out to everyone who bought the lottery tickets that announced the winner and your losing tickets or something like that.
It is also strange that you just get a set string of tickets when you buy in bulk. Maybe an option to pick numbers.
Do the tickets carry over to a new account if you die? I think that should happen to. If you buy tickets a week out you might be dead. In fact most accounts in this game do not last much more than a week in its current state.
Oke so you think the lottery should have some updates. Would you use the feature more if it was updated? Probably.

As you can read HankyPanky thinks the Lottery feature is a bit useless and should be updated to become more attractive to use. Let’s see what Aldarion’s opinion is about this feature.
Thank you for making some time for the buzz! Questions number one is obviously: Have you ever won the Bootleggers Lottery yourself? Nope, I've never won it myself although I have to admit that I never really bought tickets. Just one or two, perhaps ten at most for a single lottery. It used to be a bit of a mystery as well, especially back in the days people weren't sure whether it was legit or not and if someone actually won it.
Indeed, it is hard to win if you don't play!
I have talked with some people about the lottery feature and in their opinion it is a feature that is barely used and a quite useless feature. What is your opinion about this? Well seeing the last pot was over 3 million I don't think it is useless. I see it as a nice bonus in the same way that the game has several which which you are not required to use but is still good fun, especially if you win. It easily sells over 2000 tickets every time.
It is good fun indeed! The people I talked with, said an update would be nice for this feature. What would you like to see differently in the Lottery feature? Difficult one, it would be nice to have a graphics update where people can actually see the ticket being rolled number for number, that would definitely add to the excitement of the feature
Yea that would be nice indeed! Do you expect any update on the lottery feature in the near future? We haven't spoken about it, and there's quite a few things on the list for once the updates for next round have been finished so I doubt something will change within the next year, if not longer.

As you can see the opinions on the subject are widely spread! Some people don’t ever use the feature, others like to buy tickets and remain dreaming of ever winning the Lottery. One thing is a fact: The Feature could use an update. But as you all know, it is not a number one priority.
