NEWS: Bonus actions! Voluns6

This week, out of the blue, we discovered that free bullets were given away for certain actions. Then, later in the week, timers were all halved! Curious as to the reasons we tracked down Sky and had a brief chat with him as to what the occasion was.

This is not the first time that these rewards have been given out but all of the previous times have been for specific events. For example, the last time we were all rewarded for doing what we do anyway was during Bootleggers tenth anniversary celebrations. So we were all curious to find out what sky had to say.

We asked Sky if there was a special occasion which prompted this event from happening. He explained, "Not really, I just thought it might be a nice surprise for the players who are actually playing the game. Every now and then one of us might schedule some again at random, just on a whim." Nice and simple and certainly something to keep our eyes open to see!

As happy as we all were to gain these extra events, we had to ask if this was a sign that changes were on their way or that things arrive shortly in the future. He simply told us, "Nope, (this was) just a random bonus." So onto the statistics of the event! How many bullets were given out? How much extra cash was received by the community? "3,192,467 bullets and $8,989,946 as of February 8th 5.30PM." Quite a lot when you think about it. Very game changing for an extra three million bullets to be in existence.

It was important to find out who was behind this event. If it was Sky on his own it could be a sign that he has more trust or power than he did have. If it was BSF than it could be a sign that he has remembered all of us playing! When we asked if Sky had done this on his own he explained, "It was totally random, so I may be fired by the time this is released." Well he hasn't been fired yet and we all have our fingers crossed he won't be!

Something we were wondering about was if Sky believed this event had received enough attention from the players. There were not many posts about it in the forums unlike the previous times these events have been run. He explained, "The aim wasn't for it to receive any attention on the forum but to reward players and help them get further in the game a bit quicker. Anyone who finds out about it through a post in the forum wasn't the intended target anyway, as they evidently don't play the game properly." Very strong views.

Finally we wanted to ask our most important question. Does Sky prefer to have a Bacon sandwich in the morning or a Sausage one? He promptly replied, "Why have just one? Bacon & sausage. Or if I'm eating in some fascist-run café where I can only choose one, bacon." Very interesting and useful insight into Sky's personal life.

So there we have it! A random event to reward the players which still play. Sky authorised this on his own and it seems to have been a success due to the high number of bullets and extra cash that was brought into the game for players doing what they would normally do anyway! As always, good luck and happy ranking.
