NEWS: Event Horizon drop $13 billion from suspected bankers in shooting

This week Event Horizon planned and implemented a shooting aimed at taking out affiliates of The Family and Asura. According to Event Horizon boss BettyBBad, they were trying to "show the rest of the players that you shouldn't give up, regardless of what you believe the state of the game is".
So who exactly were the targets of this shooting? We contacted TheTynMachine to ask a few questions. He told us that after hitting crews such as Asura, Bogota, Bushido and Nation of Domination, they then went after suspicious accounts who they believed were either holding money or stocking bullets. This proved to be effective, as the in-game Federal Bank money dropped a massive $13,000,000,000 after the shooting (from approximately £33 billion to £20 billion).
TheTynMachine went on to state that "we weren't going all out to find TF bankers or anything like that, just showing the game we're still here and looking for members in the future, and that you don't have to just sit back and accept the game for how so many people are moaning. We think if you don't like it the way it is, then try and do something to change it." Event Horizon have certainly proved they are still a force to be reckoned with in light of this shooting. The consensus from the members of Event Horizon we contacted regarding this shooting is that they believe they did some real damage to their enemies but "are not foolish enough to believe they have done enough to stop them."
This shooting, then, was as much about attacking their enemies as it was about making a point. Collaboration between players can make a huge difference to the state of the game as it is. Event Horizon are one option for those who want to make a difference, but a bigger message to take from this shooting is one of hope. Hope that the game can be fixed, and that the minority of players who are controlling the game can be offset. $13 billion is a huge amount of cash no matter which way you look at it. We look forward to seeing how The Family and associates respond to this shooting, and eagerly anticipate further developments in the resistance of Event Horizon.
