Round 8 Roundup Caboose

As the round draws to a close, and the excitement of a new round starts to crescendo, the Buzz and I thought it would be a good time to reflect on the round that was.

Beyond all of the bust parties and forum drama, the two pillars of Bootleggers are Crews and shootings - and in Round 8 they stood tall. Let's take a look at some of the stats for crews, bullets, and kills.

First and foremost: the top 10 killers. The most feared men in the land. These stats are aggregated across all accounts a player has had.

Top 10 Killers

On 26 October, a ground-breaking update was introduced: The Graveyard now shows what crew someone was in when they died, long after the Crew itself is dead and gone. Let's take a moment to mourn those who passed, and see how many killing blows were administered and whose flags were being flown at the time.

Number of Deaths per Crew

The ebb and flow of the round has been quite exciting, with periods of calm frequently bookended by violence of action. Below are the number of kills and total bullets spent per month in Round 8.

The Organized Crime stats paint a prosperous picture, as banks all across the country are heisted time and time again. Let's check out the number of OCs committed in every state, and the average vault the robbers found in those states.

Now let's look at all successful OCs and the average yield over the course of the round.

On to a subject near and dear to my heart, Staff Matters! Our Helpdesk has been a great source of pride for us, as our HDOs and Mods have done a tremendous job handling the volume of tickets and getting them resolved in a timely manner. But don't take my word for it - let's look at the numbers! First up we have number of tickets created vs. average time to first Operator response.

Next up is the number of tickets rated, and the average rating per ticket (note that not all tickets are rated, so the ticket counts in this graph are less than those in the preceding).

The importance of statistics cannot be understated, even though Bootleggers is subject to all of the problems that come with analyzing data from small sample sets.

We hope to be able to bring you more stats like this in the future!
