CAPTCHA system GreazythumbGuzik

For 3 days Bootleggers experienced some issues with the PeopleSign CAPTCHAs system. This is a very important part of Bootleggers and a major issue. PeopleSign is a third party service that is used to reduce spam posted within a forum site. The main focus on Bootleggers is to battle scripters from having a great advantage over other players. The mods contacted PeopleSign with this reoccurring issue, seeing as there is nothing they could do on their end. A few hours later, there was a complete reset of the CAPTCHA, crediting every single member in the bootleggers community with a completion of the CAPTCHA.

As the day progressed, the CAPTCHA was put back in place. The CAPTCHA has came back for the first time since the credit, broken. Having the same reoccurring problem of there being no options to choose. Having the error stating, "ERROR: peoplesign clientunexpected server status () ERROR: peoplesign clientpeoplesign is unavailable ()". Not being able to get past the script check, it has blocked most of the features in Bootleggers for some time now. The CAPTCHA that we have seen before was put in place due to Peoplesign's extended outage. The CAPTCHA put in place has worked for about a week now. The Peoplesign servers are back up on the third partys end, it has not been reverted in the game. Mika stated that there will be a change in CAPTCHA again.

CAPTCHA systems are very important to the longevity and game play to Bootleggers. The CAPTCHAs in place help fight against scripters. Without this system, scripters could leave their device run and play the game for them. Giving a unfair advantage against players who do not script. As a longtime player, i have seen what mass-organized scripting can do to this game. Millions could be made in the stock market but buying and selling to manipulate the values. The gold market place would sky rocket due to scripters buying and selling higher, as well as the vehicle sale prices, even though they have dramatically increased already.
