Black Tuesday: Part 1/Where to start? MrSpicyD

I don’t even know where to start with this.

I guess at the beginning. But where is the beginning; really?

We were all in the office that fateful afternoon. Actually, not all. Refutwo had called in sick, but we thought nothing of it. We were working away, I believe I had just submitted my finished ‘Interviews with crews’ article for the week. Everyone was a little bit worse for where as we were celebrating my promotion to co editor last night. But again, Refutwo didn’t attend that either. Said he had other plans he couldn’t get out of, which was unlike him.

Suddenly the police radio started talking. Shootings in the area. Big shootings. Then country wide. It wouldn’t shut up. The phones starting ringing and ringing but we didn't answer, the radio was more important. We went round all the desks pulling the phones off the hook so that no calls could come through. We didn’t want people ringing in to tell us what they thought had happened, we wanted to hear it as it actually happened. We all stood there in silence for just over 40 minutes listing to the body count going up and up and up. We were fixed to the spot as the last name was read out. Then it went quiet. All you could hear was the crackling of the radio, ticking of the clock and JonSnow tapping his foot in anticipation of something coming. But nothing did. The chatter went silent.

As we rushed to our desks to find out the details we started putting things together. I ran over to our black board that we use to write the weekly articles on that then get scrubbed off as they are headed in, rubbed it all out and made two columns. Attackers and defenders. For the next 20 minutes or so we were working out what had happened. We realised that the main shooters were from The Vanguard [TV], Death Valley [DV] and… Oh God. The Sacred Empire [TSE]. Refutwo. That’s where he was. As I looked up from my desk, I wondered if anyone had caught on yet to what he had been doing. But there was no time for thinking. More information was coming in. The radio told us that there were 30 shooters in total that took part up and down the country with about 170 targets shot and killed. The estimated cost of this shooting was around $50,000,000, 10,000 Gold and some 3,000,000 bullets. I wonder where Refutwo was and what his hand was in the matter.

Then suddenly we got news of some one on the shooters side had been killed. He was a big player in the shooting named Hunter, a member of TV. Then, after just over an hour of shooting and the last couple of members killed as they tried to get away, it went quiet. We had time to work out the damage. The crews that made been taken down were big ones. The family Menace II Society [MIIS]. The two crews The Cockpany (more widely known as The Company) [TC] and Enemy of the State [ETS]. Then three gangs known as Criminal Grounds [CG] State of The Enemy [STE] (which was ETS’s other group of criminals) and The Chicago Outfit [TCO]; who I only met last week. Jesus Christ it was a blood bath. There wasn’t even a crime scene to go to. There were literally shooting all over the country. We started getting in touch with contacts in each crew when the radio picked up again, only 15 minutes after it had all stopped. MORE SHOOTING!

This time it was the two crews Los Zetas [LZ] and The Outsiders [TO] taking the bullets. But they were still coming from the same guns. This is when we realised this shooting was going to change everything. I called a few of the writers into my office (Oh yeah I have an office now as co editor. It’s a bit bigger than JonSnow’s and he hates it.) to discuss our next move. I handed each of them an envelope. In them was the same document copied out. There was 10 of them, 1 for each party involved (Only 1 copy for ETS as STE was run by the same people). I told them where to take their copies and who to give them too. Some of the attacked crews still had members fighting for their lives in hospitals and I knew we would be given clearance to get in there. As the last courier left the office I went to see Jon. We spoke for a while about what could have possibly happened for the alliance to be broken in two. For DV and TSE to go against their allies TC, ETS and MIIS (who were thought to be a neutral crew). Hold on what about Sector Omerta [SO], they are part of the alliance, yet they weren't coming up on any lists. I ran back out into the office but everyone had gone on their way. I quickly typed out the letter again and headed to see PlusTwo, co boss of SO, in Las Vegas myself. Hopefully this will be a nicer meeting than my introduction to SO by Jmak.

We agreed to meet at a coffee shop next to the station as I needed to get back as soon as I could. I sat down, gave him the envelope to open, let him read and digest it and then tell his side...

Apparently the crews and their subcrews who got shot, were conspiring against TV and TSE. They have made a secret second alliance to plan the wipe on TV and also TSE. We were not part of that. I've received proof in which the betraying crews expressed themselves negatively and disrespectfully towards SO, perhaps suggesting we might make a good next target. DV was invited in the secret alliance, but was strongly against betraying other alliance members. Therefore they contacted TSE about the danger. Apparently a date was set (Wednesday) to hit on TV and TSE. But DV, TSE and TV shot first… DV, TSE and TV spared us in the wipe, because they know we had nothing planned against them. This statement, next to the fact that I was labelled ‘traitor’ by my old buddies before I even know what was going on, resulted in us deciding that we rather work with crews/friends that show mutual respect. We will continue working together with our true and just allies; TSE, TV and DV.

With that he simply nodded and left. He looked still in a daze about what had happened today. Thinking about the friends he had lost but also the new ones he has unknowingly made. I headed back to my apartment for the night for some needed sleep. Tomorrow will be interesting. Hearing the other many sides to this story.
