The first one I picked up and opened was the only statement we could get from the only surviving member of TCO, BatDel. A man who had looked after me whilst in Chicago, potentially got me involved in a murder, but still looked after me. The writer that went to see him said that he was in a bad way and didn’t last much long after their short exchange. When asked about what happen he replied saying ‘We got killed. I’m guessing because of being a friend of one of the crew that fell. To insure we wouldn’t retaliate for them.’ That’s understandable from TV’s pint of view, but still was it really necessary? He ended with 'Now that we have been shot by TSE we are at war with them.’ And with that he went into a fit and passed away within seconds.
This is tougher than I thought.
Next was a note said to have been found on every body of all the members of ETS and STE. It simply read:
We will talk in bullets, we will see you soon enough TV/TSE/DV…

It was as if they were ready for what came. Like they thought it might. Maybe. Or maybe not. Unfortunately nobody else could be contacted on the matter, so for ETS that was all that was said. The next was an interview done with a bar owner in Chicago. His bar was the favourite drinking spots for TC and the shoot out happened there. Luckily he got away unharmed so he could tell the tale. With no editing, this is what he said.
It was darts day for the boys. They play every Tuesday at my bar called O'Connels in southern Chicago. Lev must've beaten Riv and Europe at least 3 times each, while Nuker was doing some fine karaoke for us. Ironically, he was just singing Taylor Swift. You know that song where she goes "I knew you were trouble when you walked in"? Well, right that moment, RougnedOdor came stumbling through the front door. "Its.. Its.. Its The Vanguard.." he whispered with his last breath. Everyone was stunned and before we knew it they all were being shot at already. TV shooters had surrounded O'Connels and barely anyone got out alive.. Duke, Europe and Nordy made a run for it. Duke and Europe tried to protect the Don but their bravery couldnt save them. Shortly after, TV caught Nordy in one of their get away vehicles. He was executed a little while later. Meanwhile, Riv sneaked out the backdoor with suitcases loaded with $330,000,000 and owner's papers of 6 casino's nationwide. As he ran through the back alleys he was tossing those to the stray kittens. Luckily he got rid of it before TV tracked him down and shot the runner in the back, falling face first in the dirty streets of downtown Chicago.

Man he was lucky to get out of there in one piece himself. It must have been terrifying. He left no contact details to chase up any questions so I guess that's all we will know on what happened that day with TC.
I need a break from this. I wanted to just get out of the office for a while, take lunch early or something. As I started walking I thought back on all the bodies that had fallen the day before. I wondered what the next few days, weeks, months would hold for us as a community. I stopped outside the coffee shop I was sitting outside when Final Redemption and The Roc Boys were wiped. As I sat there enjoying my drink a man sat down next to me wearing a long coat done up to the neck and a fedora hat covering most of his face. I turned to him, just sitting there, and tried to looked under his hat but he moved his head. ‘Can I help you?’ 'There is not much to say other than that TSE and DV put TV above the alliance and backstabbed the others.’ ‘What? Who are you?’ 'I'm from TO. We have nothing to add for your article other than that.’ And with that he got up and left. I daren’t follow him. TO? Were there still some of them out there? Maybe they might have a come back? Who knew.
As I walked back into the office I knew the day was nearly done and I only had a few more interviews to go. I had asked some of the newer writers to tidy my office for me. All paper and documents I had written up were to be cleared away and stored only leaving the ones for my afternoon work. I walked in to be greeted by one singular note. One. But there was three organisations I was still waiting on a response from. Odd. I slowly opened it up and pulled out the letter. It was written by Tyr, the boss of CG. The reporter had found him whilst the shooting was going on as he was moving from his armoured car to a safe house. His answer was short. It read:
All I can think off is that TV wanted to stir things up a little bit. It became boring. CG was no danger for them at all.

And with that he darted into the building and was never seen again; as only a few minutes later an explosion ripped through the whole house. Someone must have planted something prior to the shooting. as I typed up that interview I realised I had finished the article. All the information I had been given had been used. It was a shame no one got back to me from MIIS and LZ as I know they were contacted but if they wanted to stay silent on the matter I can understand that.
As I looked back over my work I realised I had written enough for 3 articles, so that's how I thought I would present it. 3 articles. It remind me of something my grandfather said to me when I told him I wanted to be a journalist. He said there is always 3 sides to every story. Your side, their side and the truth.
