In the early afternoon of the 7th of August we have witnessed the wipe of Event Horizon. Event Horizon is a well established crew within the bootleggers community stretching back many years/rounds on the game. This round there hadn't been much word from this crew and after having re-established their stronghold they were not around for long before they were wiped off the statistics by three shooters.
The attack was done by Grimes, Tayz and another killer. So I decided to contact them and ask why they did what they did. Their reason for this attack was pretty simple : The gang spot that was once Event Horizon had gathered enough influence to officially call themselves a Crew. The three shooters did not really appreciate Event Horizon showing off their might and influence within the game and decided to act.
A short run for Event Horizon was the result, as Grimes and Tayz made the decision to pick up their guns and visit Event Horizon's hide-out, Brutally murdering all the mobsters present.
I tried contacting Event Horizon which was not easy as a lot of their members had been shot and killed. After an intensive search for someone to talk to I finally got an answer in my private mailbox. It was GrimreaperOfChickens who decided to step forward as the spokesman of Event Horizon.
I asked him :
Did you think you would be a target so soon after get on the stats page again?
- No question about it, even off stats we were still targeted even if we were just r.bosses that were alive too long. Our upgrade probably made them think we were in a hurry or something but that was just random. We don't even really know we had the influence. Without it we knew we'd be shot within the week.
How much did you roughly lose from the wiping as a crew? Money and other investment wise.
- Don't really have an estimate but nothing that can't be replaced in a matter of days.
Do you care to talk about the reasons behind the shooting or why you think the reason were?
- No specific reason, there was never a truce in the war or anything so the reasons for shooting one another are still the same I'd say.
What was your relationship like with the crews that shot you?
- DV/TSE were just straight up enemies, TV were like pretend neutral but that worked out for us but it's not like we didn't know that one day they'd pick a side.
How do you feel about the crews now after the shooting?
- Like with the other answers, this doesn't change much. DV/TSE still enemies, TV finally fed up not using bullets and they chose to side with DV/TSE, so be it. Not a lot of feelings involved, slight change in the game but we'll keep doing what we do.
It seems that Event Horizon had taken a small hit but will not backing down anytime soon. Will we see them back on the stats page soon? Only time will tell.
