After a shooting, Death always follows SpicyDick

I don’t remember much of it. Bits here and there. Noises, like screams and shouting. A lot of smoke in the air as well. The last thing I remember was seeing arlito gun down Bear then walk over to me already lying wounded on the floor… Then it goes black.

I woke up to any empty hospital room. I could hear the dripping of a tap that hadn’t been turned off all the way but apart from that, it was silent.
Then as my senses started focusing in and out again I started picking up other things like people walking past outside my door and bits of chatter between doctors, but what could I expect. I hadn’t used my ears or eyes in… well, how long? How long was I out for? I looked around to see if there was any charts or things with dates on them like newspapers (ironic). I catch a glimpse of the last check up that had been done by a nurse. It was dated the morning of Monday 31st August
I had been out for a day. They must have thought this was how I was going to stay. Just as I put my head back and thought about it all the door opened and me and this young, quite attractive, nurse locked eyes. “DOCTOR!” she screamed. From then on the rest of Monday was a blur.

Except for the evening.

Most people in this world know that hospitals in the evening are a different place. They are a bit quieter, well maybe not in the ER, but in the halls of the overnight stays anyway. There are less nurses, less doctors, and most importantly; less security. I can’t remember the time exactly but I woke up to the sound of the door to my room being closed. As I looked over I saw Dracunis of Death Valley [DV] standing there. Normally in this situation the person entering your hospital room at night will be the last thing you see. Their purpose is to finish off a job not yet completed. But this wasn’t the case here. I knew Dracunis. We went back. A long way. We were in a gang together called, The Innocents [TI], back in the day. Now he was a big part of DV, their council in fact. I hadn't seen him in months, but I was glad to see him now. "They told me to come, let you know what's happened." I looked at him blankly. I knew what had happened. The inevitable had happened, after over 120 days of The Vanguard [TV] being at the top. "What else happened then? Apart from the wipe?" I asked.
"A lot man. So just shut up for once and listen." I had been told.

Drac explained that we had been shot by the members of a crew called Union Corse, a seemingly uneventful crew that was actually a very deep UG crew for members of The Syndicate [TS] and Event Horizon [EH]. Also Dutch Inc. [DI] was involved hiding under another crew name.
He said that suspicions had been risen about a few names in the crews but nothing to this extent. He didn't even think that any of the members were on active search, that's how little of a threat they were thought to be. As soon as DV started getting word of the shootings and the shooters name the revenge searches and kills began (DV didn't get their name for nothing). He also admitted that the shooting was well planned and very well executed.

"But that's not all. There's something you need to know".
I laid there wondering what he meant. I mean the conversation was already serious. But it just got even more serious. I could see by his face. "What?" I probed. He huffed and puffed as if he didn't what to say, looking around the room like a 5th grader just caught out by the principal.
"WHAT?!"
"Trevor. TrevorPhilips..."
Trev, what did this have to do with him. I hadn't seen him in ages. Since his leaving do at the Buzz. He was starting a fresh life with his partner and kids. Wanted to get out of the life, both Buzz and criminal activity. I remember the last time I saw him, I had just been welcomed into TV as he was leaving, we joked about it in fact. I felt like he wanted to say something to me but never did. Anyway, what did he have to do with these events?
"He wasn't who he said he was. He... He was part of the shooting Spicy. His name is Sam. He's part of TS. I'm sorry."

A few minutes went by. Silence. All that could be heard was that tap still dripping.
"Spicy?"
"Get out..."
"I'm sorry man. But we had to tell you...
"I said, get out"
Drac got up and walked towards the door. As he opened it he stopped and turned back to me, "We got him though, don't worry."
I just stared at him. Then he left.

It's weird isn't it. How you think you know people. But really they could be anyone. I felt myself slowly drifting off to sleep so let myself go. Tomorrow I'm getting discharged. Then we start all over again, from scratch.
