Not everyone gets a Final Redemption in life SpicyDick

I got a call on Thursday from the police station downtown that there had been a crew wipe and a change up in the underground rankings because of it. They wanted me to come down and chat to one of the guys behind the planning of the shooting. They had tried to get information out of him but he wouldn't uttered a word. They stated that they normally wouldn't do this, but they wanted answers. I wondered who it was, and more importantly, who they had shot.

I met with Claartje outside the station on the steps enjoying a smoke. "Ah you came" she said.
"Like I wouldn't." I chuckled. Me and Claartje got on. We went back, we have history. No, not like that. Anyway that doesn't matter. She showed me into the cells where the prisoner was waiting for me. She explained to me as we walked through the station that the crew wiped was Final Redemption [FR], a crew I also had some history with. For a short period of time I was part of their gang but left on good terms after about a week. I still got on well with most of the members including the boss, Totenkopf. It was a shame to see them go down again, just as they had made crew. I wonder who this prisoner was?!

I turned the corner to see a familiar face sitting in front of me. It was Grimes but now going by his real name of Kauff, a boss of The Sacred Empire [TSE]. He looked up and smirked at me knowingly. "So if they the police can't do their job, they send in the journalist to do their work. Cause they will always get a story."
"Don't ask me man. Ask..." As I turned to point to Claartje I realised she had gone, leaving us on our own.
"So whilst she's gone, what do you want to know?"
"What you'll talk to me? But not them?! Anything you say will just be read in the Buzz."
"Yeah which means they find out when everyone else does just by reading it. The police getting the information in the weekly paper!" He laughed, "That, Spicy, would make my week".

Right then. Where were my questions. I asked Kauff what the shooting was about. Why them, why now? The answer was very simple. It was for the crew spot that FR had acquired. TSE had a smaller gang spot but with obviously being a family before getting shot they needed more space for their members, even though they had 3 gang spots in total. So wiping a crew was always going to happen, they just had to pick the crew. I tried to get a straight answer about why choose FR, of all the crew spots, and all he said was because TSE had shot them before. So shooting them again meant they didn't make any new enemies.
Clever, but it made me real even worse for FR. As if they could be a continual loop for whenever they came back and formed a new spot. The final thing that I asked was what they will do with the 2 gang spots left. To which he replied that they will sell them on as they have no use for them now. He also told me that even though he had been arrested he hadn't actually done any of the shooting , and questioned why and how they were holding him. I had to agree that really he should left free, but I had no real power here to get him out.

I got up to leave when Claartje enter with a pad and pen. "So gentlemen, shall we start?" Me and Kauff looked at each other then back at her. "I'm done now, sorry."
"What?! No. I have to make notes. Did he say anything? What?"
"Sorry Claartje. Anyway, I'm off." I brushed past her as I left the room then stopped at the door to turn back, "Oh and if you have nothing on his man, you should really let him go." She just stared at me. Then started to crack a smile and shook her head. I heard that only an hour later they let him go due to lack of evidence. Maybe I have more power than I thought. Or maybe Claartje just likes me.

No, not like that!
