A few weeks ago now I returned after a break from Bootleggers to play a little during my final exam weeks. As always people are complaining in the forums about money and for one of the first times for me I was in their shoes. I mostly make money at the start of a round and then always keep enough gold for the rest of the round. But now I started with nothing since it seemed a good idea to me to gamble it when I left.
So you start the crimes. Ooh god, it takes a while to get some money. At some point, you can steal a car. Boom some hours later and there's a Duesy, 40k in the pocket after being sold.
Now I had a look at the 'average money per player' in the statistics page to see what a normal amount is to have at this stage. It was and still is around 300k.
Bootlegging; the big savior in a game called bootleggers. Just one shipment of Cognac can make you 100k profit after a little gym training and negotiating. So basically, we can all be 'average wealth' in 3 hours.
Still enjoying the bootlegging feature I start to get it; people who bitch about money are just very, very, very lazy. If you would do 3 booze runs in a day, you would make 300k. Save up for a week and you have 2.1 mil. Not so broke any more are we?
So I suggest people use the features more! I've been asking around and not that many people actually do bootlegging that often. It's the greatest source of income people, enjoy it!
Thanks for reading, just wanted to write something after the 10,000th topic about money.
