APOCALYPSE NOW TrevorPhilips

Grand Rapids, MI

Tensions spilled over at an industrial site in Grand Rapids on Wednesday, as six members of the Apocalypse criminal gang and an additional four possible associates all lost their lives in an apparent dispute over real estate. Members of Michigan based crime family The Vanguard were witnessed near the scene, as initial reports named these members as perpetrators of the massacre.

The scene of the Grand Rapids massacre contained warehouses housing storage, distilling and social spaces and is thought to be what is known in Mafia circles as a ‘Gang Spot’. Seemingly innocuous sites such as this are becoming sought after by criminal organisations throughout the United States to anonymously house their illicit operations. It was later confirmed by The Vanguard that this area was no different, and that it was subject to a real estate deal gone bad.

“I got scammed [for payment for the spot] by Rawhide (Apocalypse gang boss), and I must say I thought this would happen” confirmed Vanguard Boss Ragabonz “I wasn’t all that interested in receiving gold for the spot as we obtained it cheap, but it was decided we had to wipe them [Apocalypse] when it became clear we were scammed.” The attack on Apocalypse was quick and decisive, with sources confirming several members of The Vanguard were each assigned one target each to assassinate. It is also thought some members of the crime family who were yet to make a kill also used the Grand Rapids massacre as an opportunity to hone their skills.

The shockwaves from this massacre have reverberated throughout the local community, with citizens fearing future bloodshed. An anonymous business owner in the Grand Rapids area told the Buzz that “…these Mafia guys often keep to themselves, and they do look after us if we’re good to them. After this trouble over at the industrial sites though, I’m not sure if I want to stick around.” Local police have since reported that things in the area have appeared much more serene in the days that have followed, but law enforcement is mindful of future criminal elements finding their way into their community.

At the time of writing, the ‘Gang Spot’ formerly occupied by Apocalypse is rumoured to have been taken over by a gang known as The Innocents, and it remains to be seen how they will settle into operations in Grand Rapids. As Grand Rapids is only part of recent Mafia-related hostilities throughout the United States (including the ongoing conflict between The Company and The Prophecy which is also reported on this week), The Buzz will continue to report on developments as they arise.

NOTE: At the time of writing, representatives of Apocalypse were unable to be located for comment.
