Since last week’s report on the nationwide ‘Slowdown’ in illicit bullet manufacturing, further developments have restarted production throughout the United States. This has proven to be an encouraging time for Organized Crime factions up and down the nation, albeit with purchase still on the terms dictated by those controlling bullet production.
Incarceration Rocks the West Coast
Illicit bullet production in California, New Jersey and Nevada underwent a management reshuffle this week with the confirmed indefinite incarceration of former West Cost Don Quadrant. It is rumoured that Quadrant has exhausted all routes of appeal against his sentence and has now been taken into Federal custody. Given the nature of these sentences and the FBI’s tougher stance on Organized Crime, exact details cannot be confirmed by the Buzz.
Once Quadrant’s incarceration was confirmed, control of bullet production in both California and New Jersey was summarily re-established and controlled by their original owners, the Crew known as The Sacred Empire. Bullet production in Nevada however, was harder to restart given earlier Federal intervention in that state.
Federal Involvement in Nevada
During Quadrant’s appeal against his incarceration, bullet production in Nevada was temporarily overseen by the Federal ‘Elite Guard’, amidst rumours that State Authorities would ultimately retain indefinite control. These rumours proved to be incorrect on Tuesday however, with the Elite Guard shutting down, stripping and closing down major facilities in both Reno and Sparks. This facility upon closing was then taken over by The Company. Speaking to reporters at the time, now deceased Company founder FamosoTreno confirmed that they happened to be the first faction to restart bullet production. It was later confirmed that an agreement was made between this crew and The Sacred Empire to swap production rights in Nevada and California, although recent hostilities between The Company and The Prophecy have appeared to complicate matters in this area for now. At the time of writing The Sacred Empire now controls production in both states, and we will report on any future developments.
Elite Guard Involvement
Upon the withdrawal of State Authorities from Nevada, questions remained regarding their own intentions in the future. When contacted by The Buzz for comment, an Elite Guard source confirmed that “State Owned production will not make a return”, paving the way for private and potentially criminally affiliated parties to continue to control interstate Bullet production. However, the potential issue of monopolised and restricted supply to citizens has not been lost on Federal Authorities, with our Elite Guard source also confirming that they “will be making changes to deal with the Bullet Factory issue in the foreseeable future.” The exact nature of these changes cannot be confirmed at this time, but several members of the criminal fraternity are monitoring future developments with interest.
How both legal and illicit bullet production in the United States will develop in the time to come remains to be seen, with significant changes having the potential to transform the criminal landscape completely. As always, we at The Buzz will report on these changes as they develop.
